Trios-only game mode discourages people from playing Apex legends.

Pretty long explanation but bear with me here. Logically speaking, It is honestly baffling how Respawn has turned players against their own game and the filling mechanic of playing with & meeting new people by forcing a trios-only permanent game mode thus far. The sheer amount of players that I’ve witnessed saying that they’re fed up with trios-only is honestly overwhelming, more-so considering that Respawn hasn’t acknowledged the lash-back of removing solos with any definitive announcements or reassurances of it or other team-sized modes’ (re)introduction to the game.

Don’t get me wrong, I’d like & have enjoyed filling with people if / when having the choice. Personally, I was happy to switch between both, trios and solos when they were both around but now, if you want to play Apex, you not only HAVE to play with two other people, but have to have communications and chemistry in order to do well statistically speaking, which becomes more & more true each day that players progress their skills, which is every day.

Think about it, it’s not that we “hate” randoms, I think the issue is that the ONLY option we’re currently limited to have & have had when playing the game is to be potentially queued with 1-2 other people if / when your friends aren’t on, whom you don’t know their play style, preferences, competence, or if they even have a mic and are thrown in, dependent on those very randoms in order to increase the chances of winning, furthermore, your time / effort spent attempting it each game.

Only offering a trios game mode literally tips the scales against any one or even two players filling, especially higher tier players by not only pooling their chances of winning in with the others who they’ve filled with, but more importantly, forcing them against 3 other players on each & every team, who potentially DO have chemistry with one another and have a progressive understanding of how to play the game. Leave the game mode for parties of three, I will play it when 2 of my competent ftiends are online, but at least offer the option for solos & duos to those who support your game, yet don’t have two friends competent at playing Apex Legends online at ALL times.

I love Apex Legends & I’m ecstatic for S3, however, I can honestly say I play considerably less than I did prior to limiting the options of playing - solos & trios. Armed & dangerous was interesting, however it was ultimately just the same sized game mode that we’ve always had, except with more camping and less available weapons and armor options. Alternatively, in comparison to solos - an entirely different sized game mode - I thought it was utterly horrible.

The simple thought of filling with two kids who are going  to leave right after getting downed or who are going to land where you ping & fight you for loot off drop, ultimately sabotaging your chances at doing better had they landed elsewhere, close by, diverts me away from wanting to play whenever my friends aren’t on & I have the opportunity to do so. I’d hope this is more factual than negative to the others reading as I think this is a very valid issue, however, I don’t mean to complain despite voicing my opinion. Would love to hear others’ insights & opinions on this matter!
