It's the first time I ever log into EA's forums to come and post that exact thing. Thank you sir.
Btw i'm also a day 1 player. The appeal of Apex to me resides in the gunplay, the movements' mechanics and the strategic aspect of the fights (using your squad's loadout and legends). Shortening TTK effectively removed a lot of strategy and a lot of movement play. The first to shoot wins the low skilled fights and for the higher skilled player they will most likely stall the fight looking for an option only to get 3rd partied anyway. This meta is even worse for those who get backstabbed.
To add to the train-wreck that is this patch on movement, what the hell is going on with Ash? The goal was to remove the octanes with macros not to add another one!
All the QoL features are a welcome, I don't want to say everything has to burn. But the core gameplay really has me wondering if I want to continue playing a game that has strayed (for the first time, imo) from its fundamentals. Sure metas come and go, some I'd prefer to other, but this time it's the whole philosophy of the game that's changed, and I'm not impressed at all.
