If you want to retain new players then don't give them a pain in th butt by forcing them to play the first 5 basic legends for tens of hours then letting them try a 6th for tens of hours , etc.Having the legends locked was fine if you started playing at season 2 but now with 16 legends and only 5 very old legends unlocked at first is pretty stupid in my opinion... it doesnt make you want to play against 16 other legends that you don't know how they are played you can't even play them.ALL legends should be unlocked from the start, we love the legends most of us don't play the first 5 legends anymore so you should unlock them for new players so they can have a good taste of the game at season 11 not season 2 !!!

@Palette24caratsRogue Company is similar but I have to say it is much easier because you get 500 medals per your 3 daily quests and you only need either 10 or 20k medals to unlock a new character (most of them are 20k) but between 1.5k from dailys and 500 medals per level it only takes a couple of weeks (or less) to get enough for a new character and they also have 15k medal skins for each rogueI guess that is something else Apex could do is give 200-300 legend tokens per daily quest so you can get an extra 1k-1.5k a day

@Palette24caratsIt used to not be as bad because you got 1200 legends tokens per level so every 17 levels you could unlock a new legend but we complained that we had 400k legend tokens and nothing to do with them so they responded by lowering it to 600 per level... which makes it much harder for newer players to unlock new legends like I used to get a character at 17 but on my mnk acc I didn’t get my first legend until 34... which means newer players have to grind twice as long and there are so many more legends to unlock now compared to the 4-6 back then
one solution could be 1200 per level up to like level 500 and once your capped out you only get 600 per level but idk, another thing they need to do is either unlock all legends inside of the Firing range to let new players experiment with new legends before they purchase them or start having trial weekends where one weekend 2 random legends will be temporarily unlocked and then the next weekend 2 other legends will be unlocked and so on... it’s something Rogue Company has been doing occasionally which doesn’t really benefit me too much but I did get to try Mack out before purchasing him

@TheApexLegendNubDo you know of any other game that locks a dozen legends or characters that you can use to play but cant until you play 100 or 200 hours of the game. I dont and it totally sound ridiculous to me that any game would do such a non sense. Lile I said it was ok in season 2, 3 , 4 but now season 11 new players are treated like they dont deserve to experiment what we do every game.

the fun would all go into PLAYING and enjoying it!! Finding the legend you prefer and want to main for the future... not discovering that this or that legend is the one that fits you best 2 years later when the game is something else!!

And it's getting even worse if you want to play the battlepass and dont have the legends for it.
for rerolling legend dailies you have to spend these tokens. xD
