Vantage and her laser…

Why do video games always add huge highlights to people playing sniper or high range classes?  Imagine you deployed and you see your squad designated marksman taping a 1 million candle power flashlight to his rifle.  That’s vantage aiming down sight and with her ultimate and it’s stupid laser in apex legends. Unless I’m playing against someone who’s new to the game, after the first surprise shot, I just put my ultimate away because aiming not only shows my enemy where I’m aiming at exactly, but also puts a huge target on my forehead for anyone I can’t see while zoomed in.
