@E9ine_AC I could do without the kick in the nuts, but I would like to hear laughter from EA. At least then we would know, that they know, there is an issue. My issue has been met with silence.
Just curious if anyone else has had a similar issue?
- E9ine_AC5 years agoHero+@xXStatelessXx It is quite impossible for the system not do what its built to do. If you have truly open 500 actual packs you would have the heirloom. Its just a rough system is all. 1 in 500 chance at heirloom the 500th 100% granting it to said user. One my heirlooms took all 500 packs another took 232 packs another took 2 packs.

I would also like to pose a hypothetical in hopes for the community's opinion. I will try to be concise:
Issue: If a technical issue prevents a user from receiving heirloom shards after opening 500 packs, do you think it is a fair and reasonable resolution to give that player 150 heirloom shards after it is proven more than 500 packs were opened?
In other words, if this system was proven not to be working as designed whereby any 1 of the 500 packs opened could have awarded the shards, is it not reasonable to conclude that this user in all likelihood spent more money than typically required to obtain the shards?
Not sure I am asking this question the right way, but IMO, even if shards are awarded after it is proven that 500 packs were opened, because any 1 of the 500 packs could have awarded the shards, awarding shards without any other consideration does not seem like a fair and reasonable resolution.
What does the community think? If you had a chance to win something in any pack from 1 to 500 but didn't, would you accept shards as a full resolution to this issue?
- E9ine_AC5 years agoHero+@xXStatelessXx I mean the logical thing to do would be to grant the shards if it truly in their system shows that a user is counting event packs that didnt count or they did open 500 and was not granted.
Ive yet to see the system not work as there are hardly any posts at all about it not working and those who did was quickly corrected with the pack counter dont accept some packs as opened packs. Not a single person on the forums has proven the system is flawed and not working. - 5 years ago
@E9ine_AC Thanks. I have proved that it did not work as designed and stated on EA's website. However, I am more interested in what a reasonable resolution would be under this scenario.
The system was proven to not work. 500+ packs were opened, where the chance to get the heirloom (if it had been working) could have been awarded in any of the 500 packs opened. We will never know which of the 500 packs it was, because the system was proven not to be working as designed.
Put another way, if the heirloom was won after opening pack one, in this scenario, 499 packs would not need to be paid for and opened. Granting heirloom shards after the fact doesnt account for the cost of 499 packs that hypothetically wouldn't have needed to be opened.
See what I am saying?
- E9ine_AC5 years agoHero+@xXStatelessXx You are one out of 500k+ players who claim the system does not work. If you had indeed opened 500 packs you would have gotten the heirloom. There just has to be some packs your adding in the counter that just dont count. There is a webpage that you can get your numbers from. No need to estimate when this shows exactly how many have been opened. If you had open 500 and not get the heirloom you would have it by now as that information is in the system on their end. This is not the case i suppose as you came to the community with the concern.

@E9ine_AC I am saying that this is not a claim. It has been confirmed as an issue with EA support. They confirmed I opened more than 500 packs (all in one day) and I was not awarded heirloom shards. This is not being disputed by EA.
And while I have proven this issue, I am not confident that other players would even know how many packs they have opened unless they keep a personal log. So, it is feasible that others may have experienced this issue, but they just wouldn't know or have irrefutable proof, like I do.
Whether the issue exists is not what I am asking, but because the issue was proven to exist - what is a reasonable resolution to the issue?
That is what I am asking the community their opinion on.

@E9ine_AC Thanks. Looks like a good tool if you could remember 2 years back. In my specific case, I opened the packs in all one sitting, so didnt need a counter. But I will use it going forward. Thanks.

@xXStatelessXx Looks like other recent posts have a similar issue

I opened up 110 packs yesterday and got heirloom shards with 10-11 packs left. First time ever
