Warning for leaving ranked when dead?

I just want to say that I was in a ranked game and had over 100 RP collected in that game. Then I died out of the ring so there was no chance that my teammates could still revive me so I left. I carefully read the message and it didn't say anything about penalties. Yet I got -24 RP instead of over 100 RP and I can't play for 10 minutes. I get the system but I don't think it's right to do this without any warning.

    @Jaspervdw95 Was your banner still recoverable(I mean the time) if so, you can only leave if your banner was picked up and you weren’t revived in like 2mins or so. Or your banners recover time went out.

    And if it is recovered wait about 2 minutes and you can leave. I've been having to do that lately because of cryptos

    @Jaspervdw95 I still think they should add a 3-5 second timer on the leave button if there will be a penalty and then just let you leave if there won’t be a penalty to its easier to know

    Thanks for the replies guys. But what upset me was the lack of information/warning that I would get a penalty for leaving
