Wattson's Backpack/Tesla Coils

What were you thinking?  Make a character the size of lifeline but give her the same issue as pathfinder by not having anything on her back/shoulders able to take hits.  Once she starts crouching and sliding - I've got absolutely no idea what I'm aiming at.

This might get better over time but first impression just have me screaming the word - "WHY?".  After the absolute headache of the pathfinder models, why would you then create a character with aesthetic artefacts that don't feature in the hitbox, but also the same size as one of the smallest characters :S

  • @Anlbrd Her crouching animation does seem deceptive. I unloaded an unkitted re45 from point blank at her face after taking off shields and she maybe got hit once and then killed me for it. I don't have god aim, but missing point blank at a stationary crouching character with a weapon that has one of the easiest recoil patterns in the game...seems a little fishy.

@NNeil6991 I'm getting slightly better with it and eventually it will probably be the same as Pathfinder for me, but honestly this is exactly the kind of thing you shouldn't have to deal with in an FPS.

There are other people who don't play as much as me who will have difficulty with this for the games lifetime for them.

I hate to do this but compare Apex to Fortnite - you see something in that game, you can hit it. And they're CONSTANTLY putting new and different aesthetic elements into the game, so it's not about the difficulty involved in creating models and hitboxes : it's about a design mindset.

Its a shooting game : dont deliberately put something in that won't feature in a hitbox...
  • @Anlbrd Yeah I agree, but this game is always going to suffer from balance issues. Having different sized hitboxes is a no no shooters have known not to replicate since Oddjob.
