If you have three accounts you're absolutely smurfing, what the hell are you talking about? You have 3 accounts, two are smurfs. That's just how it goes. It's literally the definition of smurfing.
I've tried playing more, and it's just more smurfs ruining match-making and giving me very frustrating experiences. At this point I feel like I could drop down to Bronze and it'd just be master and predator smurfs wrecking things. I really had some fun in Apex but this has completely killed it for me.
Respawn (or EA), please respond and let me know if smurfs are even on the radar, let alone a priority. Or let me know if you don't care at all about them, so I can know for sure to forget about Apex. Thanks!
Took a break because it was very frustrating. Came back a couple days ago and it is worse than it ever was. I don't think I've played a game in Ranked without butting up against an obvious smurf. The champion squad shown at the beginning of the match is almost always at least one smurf, usually two. Pubs are...a little better, it seems, sometimes, maybe. But not really. Of course there, there's less chance of matchmaking giving you a fair shake - but of course in Ranked right now there's 0% chance of that because everyone and their mother is a smurf from higher up the tiers.
This game is not fun for me. It feels like a chore and a grind to play. Just rampant smurfing everywhere, and nothing done about it. I haven't seen Respawn respond about the issue at all, anywhere. I'm a glutton for punishment so I'll try to ride the end of the season out, then it looks like time to give up on this game for good.
Ran across a ton more smurfs in the last few days. Is Respawn ever going to respond to this issue in any way, anywhere, at all, ever? It's rampant. You can see folks in the Apex subreddit discussing how Ranked is basically dead - all the low tiers are just smurfs crushing non-smurfs.
It's incredibly frustrating, and the problem has only gotten worse as time has gone on. Looking forward to Respawn at the very least acknowledging that it's an issue, which they haven't even done yet as far as my googlin' has been able to tell.
More smurfs today, of course. Particularly in ranked. It's constant and flagrant. These are only the ones I spectate that literally don't bother to hide it too - the ones that flaunt the badges, or leave their kills and level up so it is incredibly obvious.
Respawn, I'd love to at least know if you have decided you don't care about smurfs and are going to let them continue unabated or not. I honestly cannot find a single place where they've been addressed at all, either saying you don't see it as a problem, or that you hope to do something about them eventually.
The new announcement mentions 'changes to ranked' so I hope something gets done, or as said before, I'll sadly have to give up Apex which would be a bummer.
Seeing full groups of smurfs today. I've also run into the exact same cheating smurf a second time, as evidenced by the fact that I'd blocked and reported them previously, so that's more proof that nothing is really currently being done to cull smurfs in any way.
Respawn, please, shed some light: are there any plans to confront the smurfing problem? Is it not seen as a problem at all? Will Season 6 have any Ranked changes to try to deal with this issue, or are those of us who aren't great at the game supposed to either accept that smurfs are going to stomp all over us in the majority of our games, or leave Apex?
It seems like the smurfing is way, way worse at the end of the season when people don't give a * anymore. But if I have to try and "time" when to play the game so I don't run into smurfs, that's...not fun.
I watched a smurf kill a smurf that had killed a smurf that had killed me today, that was pretty hilarious. Really hope Season 6 has Respawn address smurfing, in any way at all. They've been terribly silent about it.
Well, Season 6 patch notes and Ranked blog are out. Not a single mention of smurfs at all. Like, zero mention at all of how much they mess with us in the lower tiers. I guess since the "new" accounts make it look like more people are playing the game, it's not worth addressing?
