We need a solo type mode

How is it almost 2023 and we still don't have any kind of solo or solo queue option to play? Most people play by themselves and don't want to face three stacks all day and duos is worse. I just want to chill and play apex by myself and not have to sweat my * off. Video games are for unwinding and this crazy sbmm formula has made them the exact opposite. It's really deranged to have a formula that tries to make the player as mad as possible before putting him into a lobbie he belongs in for a game or two. All in the name of getting people to play longer. I just want to not go against these three stack ttvs in pubs playing like a million dollars is on the line. I have to go to ranked sometimes to get a chill game and that's when you know the system is broken

    @XxColdFangxX It boils down to more than just a team-based game. You have legend abilities that would stand no chance against a legend who could be tailored for solo. A lot of abilities would not hold a lot of value and some utterly useless.

    Then comes the solo matchmaking. If you are put into hard lobbies in trios people above someone's play skill levels then expect solo to give the same outcome. People will still be facing insanely good players who stand no chance. So even if it was to be released I could see a ton of issues rising up with people expecting to be put in a more slow pace game. In reality, solo mode would create kill-chase challenges. Making a lot of peoples play experience horrible.

    We don't have it because their previous tests have data indicating that solo's would not be good for the mode.

    So some legends are less likely to get picked for a solo game mode, so what? That doesn't mean the legends won't get used in the other game modes, and that's kind of the devs fault for not foreseeing that people would want to play their game on a solo setting.
    The MM is currently trash in any game mode, as a person who solo ques all the time for trios and duos, I'm already getting stuck going against really good players with anywhere from really bad to good players as teammates. So bad match making isn't a legit reason to me to not have a game mode for the people who want to play it instead of duos or trios.

    They're apparebtly even bringing it to the mobile versions, so what gives? The same game, the same legends played by the same people, just on a different device. 
    Apex is extremely lacking in the preference department and other brs are starting to look way better by comparison .

    I have to say, I agree with @XxColdFangxX. "It's a team game," is an excuse, not a reason. The fact that some legends would be useless is also an excuse, not a reason. The fact that among viable legends you would have a rock, scissors, paper effect at work is, again, an excuse. This game already has a rock, scissors, paper weapon sandbox, and something of that effect in legend selection, although it's diluted by having three legends per team instead of just one.

    The fact remains that the reason solos is not only not a priority, but considered anathema by the developer, is because they believe the more limited engagements cause higher churn, shorter playtimes, and lower revenues. I think that's short-sighted and misleading to say all that based on a poorly executed, single season ltm, but there you have it.

    @1unown1 You can uncheck the checkbox "Fill teammates" from duo or trios game mode to play truly a solo game against teams. ;-)

    However, Apex is a team game and designed to be played as a team game. There are other games that are solo games and are more balanced to be played as a solo.

    Because game matchmaking is kind of messed up... it would be devastating for player game experience to have solo games. There would be platinum and masters players among bronze players. This would lead boring game for more experienced players and newbies or less skilled players would be just furious for unjust game balance.

    It's freaking devastating already .... making more modes like solo isnt making this more devastating than it already is.  Its better have wider selection modes than fewer and forcing people play modes they dont want to. That makes ppl leaving the game (among other reasons like very stupid SBMM).  There are already plats vs masters in ranked because this game is losing * or players..

    You can reread my section about this so called, 'team based game.'
    And 100% agree with LarppaRaksunen. Matchmaking is already devastating when masters and platinum are already in games with the bronze tier players. This isn't a legitimate reason, just another lame excuse.

    Trying to limit a BR to a team aspect is a mistake.

    @Valokoura It's people like you that make a lot of people not want to play with the people that play this game. Go play a different game is not an answer. I can't believe you get in forums of games to tell people to go play a different game

    @E9ine_AC Also said a solo queue mode. Like teams with only solo players. All these community connections people are pretty awful. And the solos you described sounds perfect, kill chasing is literally the only fun part of fps games. It's the s in fps ya know
