We should be able to gift premium Battle Passes to each other

I play a steady enough amount of Apex where I can easily afford every premium BP upgrade as they release, but the friend I duo with can't afford them. I have already upgraded to the premium tracker for the current season, and have enough coins to potentially buy another battle pass. I have been looking for an option to gift my friend the upgrade, as I have enough coins and don't mind getting it for them but... I can't?

I have searched the official gifting FAQ pages and googled my issue, but nowhere does it state anywhere whether or not battle passes can be gifted, so I'm going to assume they can't. The FAQ page says we can gift individual items and bundles of legends, weapon skins, charms, from the store "and more", and states that the only restriction is we can't gift apex coins directly and thematic collection event items. Battle Passes aren't mentioned anywhere.

If it isn't already an option, hidden somewhere where I can't find it, would it be possible to enable premium battle pass gifting for future seasons? I'm sure this functionality would be greatly appreciated by community members who can't afford BPs on their own but have friends who do.
