Weapon swap

Hey, I don't know if this has been talked about. But I really wish there was a way in the game for most of us to swap weapon positions😅. Might be an irrelevant feature, but I lose most of my gun fights spending time dropping both my left & right weapons on the floor & picking them up(I also noticed this for most other players in game). I prefer my ar's on the left & pistols on the right. I wish long pressing the left D-pad button for an extended time(without removing the weapon view & single/auto fire) would swap them automatically. That way I'd be a better teammate by the time I'm running into the action.

  • @airedout91 I'm sorry if I'm uneducated in this area, but what do you mean "swapping positions" of your weapons? I'm familiar with other game Titles such as Hunt Showdown, with how they're weapon "slots" work. But in Apex Legends? I'm on console too, but isn't it always just the button Y or Triangle to swap? Or are you using a different button scheme?
Or are you simply referring to their position on the screen when looking at your inventory? You're not wrong, I think I see others doing this sometimes- but I'm never quite sure... always looks like some hoodoo goin' on.

@StarMystroThe second one, swapping the positions on the screen, or to give a better example. You've just landed with your squad, they're in a fight a few seconds away from you. Let's say you find a p2020 & a mastiff on the ground, then you're used to your shotguns being shown on the left(primary) & pistols on the right(secondary), then you decide to run for both guns so that you can help them but the p2020 is in front & mastiff is behind. So you pick the p2020 then it shows automatically as your primary & mastiff as your secondary & then you have to drop both to re-organise. Instead of having to spend time dropping both to re-organise them to be the way you're used to keeping them wasting the time needed to go help your teammates, you just long hold the left D-pad button & then it swaps them automatically. (There's this weird hoodoo voice in my head that tells me I can never win a fight/match if my guns aren't in the right order)😂

Ahh yes... I have that tendency in other games too. Not in Apex Legends, but I absolutely know the feeling. It's... a tough one, cause there's probably not a whole lot of people who experience this- but it may be too much of hassle on the developers, like, to create a button or sequence to swap the weapons. I could be wrong though!

In Hunt Showdown, I prefer my Primary to be mid-long range weapon and my secondary to be a Close range option.
