weapon xp too much of a grind

idk if anyone has gotten mastery in other titles like mw1 or other cod games, is it just me or is this mastery like 10x the amount of time it would take to do in cod? and all for what a mastery banner you dont see in game other than the beginning of the match idk maybe its too much, i made a other post about this and it got no traction would like to see double xp weekends or xp tokens to cut down on the time to lvl each gun. at the state it is now you would have to play 12 hrs a day for a year just to even get close to the unlock idk if this is really healthy for the game or the players and would like to see some changes in this regard

  • I think this was the intended goal of it.

    I believe that they wanted something that players could work a decently long time with.

    Players can either choose to actively pursue it or to do it in the background, either way it'll keep players busy.

    From what I've heard, there might even be plans to add additional mastery levels.

    So if it's decided that it's too much of a grind that isn't fun then they might change this later on.

    Though I haven't really heard a lot of players say that they think this is too much of a grind, so I wonder how many players share this opinion.

  • The only goal of EA/Spawn is to hook You up so You play countless hours and they buy some skins/packs along the way.

  • @mywrith Its a long grind, and a bunch of players already have badges for 5+ guns.

    Kinda shows you who no-lifes the game or cheats the whole time, and if they're cheating, it just shows how much the anti-cheat doesn't work.

    @mywrith

    The grind is real for Weapon Mastery.

    However we did not have it before and I had fun playing the game and will continue to do so. The badges will come when they do, I do not really care about them one way or another as it does not affect game play if you have them or not.

    As Obi-Wan would say "These are not the Badges you are looking for"

    I see your Star Wars reference and I raise you one Treasure of the Sierra Madre: "I don't have to show you any stinking badges."

    @XHelperZ its too cheesy tho, you get more xp ratting in pubs than you do running down mixtape, if the xp wasn't primarly coming from hold time it wouldn't be as much a issue, its not about skill at all but just time played and that in itself is a bad progression system because good players should be able to clear it loads faster otherwise its a participation trophy to get the final banner and hold's no merit

    @Asmodeus566 why make it if none of it means anything tho, you can just play pubs by yourself and rat to final zone and get more xp than you get in 4 or 5 games of mixtape, its so cheesy idk how they call this progression when all it is time played rewards
