They are getting paid, yet this * should never happen, it is litterally fixable in seconds.
It's not fixable in seconds, matchmaking is something that a large team looks at over a long period of time.
Data is collected and compared, with that a better matchmaking system is created.
Currently it's not so great, though this can be unintentional behaviour, not everything will go perfect after all.
Making mistakes is fine, if certain issues develop due to other reasons, that's fine, I don't see them deducting pay for something like that.
Though, if you find it easy to fix, maybe you could apply for a job at Respawn and maybe resolve the issue, you'll even get paid quite a lot, so it seems like a win win to me.
Absolutely false, all you require is to check a box that says x cant be matched with x, it is the same as them having a rank limit for teaming with your buddies.
An SR system can be hard yes, making sure top 500s doest get queued with bronze players is not, that is lazy developers doing nothing.
Video game developers at blizzard and big companies like EA/respawn as well get paid litterally nothing, they are getting paid far below average at normal programming places...
They're getting paid to sell skins that are hardly worth 5 coins for 2500 coins. And it's working out great for them. They should get a raise. 😀
@TheDarkWaverAbsolutely right. They could earn way more in finance or manufacturing. Money doesnt drive most game developers, thats why they are more likely to be exploited than in other industries. The game devs i know, dont work 9to5, more like 24/7 bcs they are so passionate about it.
Cant blame developers for business decisions they dont have any say in.
Also cant blame a person which is bound by a Non Disclosure Agreement, they might be on your side but arent allowed to tell 😉.
Being a dev for any kind of software company is better than most game dev companies. The more known the IP "like EA and blizzard" the worse your pay is too in game dev. Cause they can afford to pay you pennies since so many people love the games they make so they wanna make them.
