@lxrgmonsterWell, there are a ton of different weapons that can be good if your enemy misses their shots.
If you're good enough, you'll be at the stage where you don't normally miss. The R-99, when all the shots are hit, will kill anyone purple shield and down. Since it uses up it's mag so quickly, the R-99 will out dps a G7.
The Havoc will out dps the G7 if you hit your shots.
Sure, if they miss, the G7 can compete, but if they were actually good and didn't miss, then the G7 shouldn't be able to compete.
Clearly I need to play with you because 99 percent of the time you're having close quarter gunfights. You sure you playing ranked?
- @lxrgmonster I don't know if a scout is going to trade well against a crouch spamming havoc, kitted R99, 301, or flatline player...

Also, at close range a G7 should not be able to compete with the likes of r-99, flatline, r-301, and prowler. It has much less dps.
@Sir_NamedG7 can compete close if you land your shots nicely with a double tap and strafe / outmaneuver em. Feels so freaking good right now despite the nerfs, still one of my favourite guns. Finding it easier to land 2 double tap shots than a full mag of an R99. Especially if you can land them as double head, or 1H : 1B shot.
I also totally agree that positioning does matter. Had an enemy team on a slight cliff and aiming up at them, they were terrible, downed 2 of them twice, but the cliffside gave them just enough cover to sneak an ally backup during a loud gunfight and then clear us out afterwards.
Say less I'd be happy to show you dee way and as a matter of fact I'm on both PS4 and Xbox.
