@Sir_Named Technically speaking every gun should be able to compete with every gun in the hands of a skilled player, regardless of the scenario. That's the kind of balance I think most players would agree they want. To be able to use anything.
Two skilled players, R99 and G7, close range, who should win the gunfight? Two unskilled players? The answer should always be, the player that uses their gun and character better, not necessarily "this gun wins the fight because close range". Sure it should TECHNICALLY provide the advantage to the player with the R99 because its a laser at close range, but it does require that person to actually be able to hold target. That's also how we somehow get point blank / close range Kraber shots..... which are disgusting.....

@Monhulio It seems reasonable for classes of weapons to be of similar use within the same scenario. Ie a R301 VS a Havoc should come down to individual skill, not who had the best weapon. I disagree that differing weapons should be usable in any situation, like a Longbow shouldn't be able to compete with an R99 in close range, but neither should an R99 be able to compete with a Longbow at distance.
