Solos needs to be added there is no question about it. You are truly robbing a large portion of your player base from being able to enjoy the game more fully. Its been over 2 years now and this is STILL the only major BR with no solos mode. Why? Do you not care about your player base? Do you not care that you will get more people to play this game? Do you not care that it will improve Apex as a whole outside of the solos mode also. Less selfish players in the team ques leaving matchmaking for teamminded players. Giving an option for people who don't want to play on a team all the time. The benefits greatly outweigh any reason not to add it....

Only because you get a couple of threads on this forum about it and some likes and "me too" clicks doesnt mean that Respawn is doing something wrong. I have even started to recognize the same usernames on these "pro solos"-threads.I think that IF solos was a permanent mode, some people would play it for sure, but after a couple of game, running around, looting and finally encounter another solo and maybe win, maybe lose, they would get tired of that and start jumping super hot just to get some action. So every solo match would be one huge hot drop in the beginning of the drop ship path where 70-80% of the entire lobby dies, followed with 10-15 minutes of a handful of survivors, spread out all over a huge first circle, trying to find someone to fight. After a while people would get tired of this and either start playing squads again or even quit playing the game.Thats just my "feeling" towards solos. I played it when it was a LTM and felt exactly what I said above.. And guess what? Respawn did actually release an official statement about Solos and said that player retention was the main problem with the mode and thats why they wont add it... Remember that Respawn have all the statistics; not we. If they say the mode was harmful for the game, I think its much smarter to believe that to be true, rather than speculating about a "hidden and evil Respawn conspiracy to deny players Solos even though its in super high demand" =)

We all know many of the various advantages and disadvantages about having Solo.BUT, it certainly would be great, so we don't have to rely on anyone but ourselves in the game, because we all know too how bad match making is in the game, and how bad playing with randoms can be.Regardless of all the various advantages and disadvantages, Solo would be great, so we can just do it alone, no one else standing in our way!

@The7O2GuySolo mode actually made squads much better with a lot less solo droppers and players leaving the match very early which is a problem only getting worse as time goes on.I'm not personally bothered about solos myself but if it improves the current mode i'm already in then i'm all for that and understand why people would just want to jump into an even 1v1 BR experience when the current format we have is atrocious for solo players. Given that we have very limited modes to play anyway then having more choice isn't necessarily a bad thing.The argument that legends aren't balanced for solos has been recently proven wrong with all the changes to abilities since solo was last introduced.You get the usual ''just find a squad'' excuse from those rejecting the idea but what about those that have a squad or family/friends that just aren't the same skill level? My little brother can't compete at all in my lobbies and i must currently drop him for those that can keep up or play solo squads with dead weights anyway thanks to the genius SBMM we currently have. If you don't want solo for yourself then that's fine but to not let others have a mode that won't effect you makes very little sense.Also, ''the data'' that it has a negative effect on player retention was only collected during the Iron Crown event which had people leaving the game or not playing as much due to other grievances completely unrelated to solos and if they rereleased the LTM and the data was the same then that argument would hold more weight but until then.. Nope.

@BalladalidilaIt's been shown how abilities are more equal in regards to solo mode compared to how they were back then balance wise at least, with a few exceptions. You could even do that yourself.How can they claim solo mode was the cause of lower player retention when the only time they had it implemented was when people were frustrated with the game and leaving in droves anyway. Without having it a second time to compare, the data is only being said to reinforce the point that they wanted to keep Apex a team based shooter before they introduced the LTM or if solos was popular. It's not part of their vision for the game, irrespective of what the community wants.It was pretty unanimous back then in discussions both with friends and on the forum that squads was in a much better state with the addition of solos. For you to say that's not the case would make you a small exception and the damage badge is hardly the the only or even main reason people leave when knocked.Edit: Keeping my post the same to cover the points you edited out.

@Balladalidila It has been shown in previous discussions. I don't have a link to provide you as i don't remember the thread but as i said, you can work it out yourself that most legends would have some or more or less even utility for them to compete in solos unlike before when less than a handful would be the go to and have a large advantage over others. If i see a positive impact in trios and people i discuss with have a noticeably positive impact (very active back then amongst more than just a few circles in Apex) and people come to the forums and other platforms online who also say they noticed a difference and the logic backs up that point then it doesn't take much to see how and why there was an improvement.I had much less than half of my matches with leavers back then with solos (around roughly 10-15% to hazard a guess but not exceeding 25%) to the vast majority (probably more than 90%) now. Unlike what you said in your previously removed post of ''most leavers only do so because of the damage badge'' or along those lines, which is a poor argument and doesn't even address the main cause of people leaving. This is also in contrast to your ''feeling'' that basically explains how squads plays out now anyway so surely some potential improvement is better than nothing?I wouldn't call it a random statement without any evidence either that people were leaving during those few weeks of IC. Just check anywhere online that Apex lost a lot of players during that event that cheesed off many more that did stay and understandably so. Frustration for Apex was high during that event and it had absolutely nothing to do with solos. In fact it was one of its only redeeming qualities. I can quite confidently say that. I don't need to be privy to any data or claim to speak for the community when basically everyone was saying the same thing. You provide ANY ''hard data or evidence'' that solos would have ANY negative effect on squads excluding que times now they left it so long and introduced duos since because i could find posts how it had a positive impact. Edit: I'm not searching for them as it would take up to much time but you can do that yourself too here on AHQ if you wish.Your reasoning is the kind that EA applies that prevents us getting server improvements and we get the usual ''lets go through some troubleshooting'' instead of addressing the actual problem.There's more than enough public data for that though.. 😛Lastly, yes i do think Respawn are incompetent but not because of how they interpret their data but the actions they take from it. They have a vision for this game and you and I how zero influence in how that will play out which is not how a healthy relationship is built (or should be) between community and developers. It's very much a get what you're given and be grateful for what you get.. This is also partially related to the IC event with only small improvements with communication from the devs since but after the backlash they received, i understand why.Don't forget they viewed IC as a huge success from their ''data'' because of player engagement and financial gains, which also speaks volumes.

ur right they need to add solos bc team mates in this cant cant play at all like u always hafte to do by your self and bc of that u loose points in rank bc ur team mates wont listen or follow ur positions or go for your banners add solos like wtf

Yeah, it is really this simple. How can you be against solo mode? Just don't play it if you don't want to play it, your mode doesn't disappear just because a solo mode appears. Everyone can be happy. The solo players get their turf, the team oriented players get theirs. What is the fuss?
Guess what? It also eliminates a portion of spam in this forum. The threads posted that complain about solo players leaving the match. And the threads posted to complain about wanting solo mode. Two birds with one stone.
Then we can complain more about Wraith nerf and how op the mastiff is.

@afishthatvapesExactly, solos would allow players to be alone and do their own thing wether thats kills,challenges, practicing, warming up, etc and would help eliminate the current issues with randoms in trios like solo droppers, teammates who wander off, rage quitters, etc

Note: solos won’t 100% fix some of these issues but I believe it would help a lot more than you would think and would also bring players back to the game who have decided to quit over the lack of solos
during a poll of 4000 votes on what modes players would like to see added to the game 58% of them said solos... im just going to round that to 60% for easy math and say 2400 of the 4000 players want solos added to the game... the other 1600 players are not forced to play it and can stick with duos/trios and its important to note just because 2400 of 4000 people want solos it doesn’t mean that they won’t play duos/trios anymore because I love playing with randoms some days while other times I just want to be solo a few hours its not like adding solos will eliminate half the playerbase from playing duos and trios
the argument that solos was ‘’bad for new player retention’’ is absolute bull... I was a fairly new player when solos was introduced (played about 1-2 months) and I could never get above 1-2 kills and a few hundred damage it was bad... while experiencing solos I learned how to fight for myself, had the opportunity to play with different weapon and different legends, I had a few games where I earned 3-5 kills and it felt like I gained a 20 bomb (i still have the screenshots) anyways once solos was removed and I went back to trios I went from being that random who would always get 0-2 kills and 0-400 damage a game to getting 3-5+ kills every game with 600-1k damage and imo that was a major improvement and if I never had that experience I am sure I wouldn’t of ever bought the next seasons battlepass and would of just uninstalled the game because getting 0 kills isn’t fun and sbmm wasn’t in the game yet so running into players with 4500-6k kills was so common
First Screenshot was during solos in august 2019, the next 2 were from September 2019 I look at them now and think they are cute but back then it was an amazing feeling lol the only time I get that happy now is when I get a 2k damage game

@The7O2Guy Apex Legends is a free to play game > every game mode needs to have big enough fixed player base to make it profitable

Meaning - Respawn can make every possible mode, including CTF etc. but as long as the player base in that mode is too small, it won't bring money to company. We don't have single, because Respawn thinks it won't be profitable enough.

How about this. Take all passives and ultimates away of all legends and a solo mode is possible. Then its just your look that differ from others or not.
Thats the only way, otherwise after a period of time, everyone is going to use that one legend with the best passive and utlimate for solo play, or they are going to whine about other legends and cry for more nerfs, and RESPAWN can't balance solos and trios at the same time and way.
The question is, is this then Apex?

@II-LAZZARUS-II Dummies Big Day would be ‘’ok’’ for solos, but once you strip all of the abilities it won’t feel like apex anymore at that point I might as well just go to another game if your removing what makes apex legends special

The only legend I feel like wouldn’t be as strong in solos with their current kit is lifeline, I used to love playing lifeline in solos but she also had fast heals back then... but if you look at it in another perspective once your randoms rage quit your solo as lifeline in trios anyways so whats the difference? Your at a bigger disadvantage solo in trios than you would be in solos facing other solo players

Another way to look at it, you could be a fuse and I could be a lifeline

You knuckle cluster me but can’t land any of your shots, I turn around and destroy you and win the fight... abilities arn’t everything what truely matters is positioning and gun skills
