Where did all the optics and shields go?

Can't tell you how many games I've had where we are 2 rings in and nobody has any optics and we have maybe blue shields because we crafted them.

The addition of laser sights seems to have diluted the loot pool but I think they increased sniper weapons, sniper attachments, & sniper ammo in the loot pool, too.  It makes finding a 1X holo a reason for a celebration.

Couple that with the short ring timers & horrible matchmaking and that makes S14 the worst I've played in Apex.  Absolute trash.

    I feel like the loot dilution has been a thing for a while now, but yes, worse this season than ever.

    Shorter timer is not as bad as I thought originally since its an evenly distributed handicap. Though I still hate it and would rather go back to the way it was.

    The only place where the shorter timer sometimes makes a match unplayable is King's. That map got more reworking than any map has ever got before, and in my opinion not one single change was for the better. I hope I'm not the only player who will quit an unlucky drop in protest rather than try to make a rotation where death from circle or gatekeepers is 99% assured.

    Matchmaking. What is there left to say? In other games I always let the developer get away with trash mm due to ever dwindling populations. Which this game doesn't have. Sorry, Respawn, if you have some other excuse then I'm sure we'd all love to hear it.

    Ive been ok with shields, but dam... spot on with optics. There was a season back when (can't remember which one) where optics were tough to find. It got better, but this season dam! I struggle to find even the simple holo 1x sight. last few sessions I looted countless POI's without finding a single sight other than long range sniper sights.
