Why bullet slowdown does not affect enemies?

I know there are big legends that are not affected by the bullet slowdown.

But why some players are never affected by it no matter how many bullets I shoot at them?

Example: bangalore - face to face shooting, I shoot two batches of prower shoots, she was not affected and even slide towards me?

Is there anything that actually works in this game?

Like why put this mechanic in the game and they only selectively apply it to certain players and completely ignore others?

Well..if bagalore is your example..she has a double time passive that gives her a speed boost when getting shot at. It activates on being hit or barely missed by bullets and grenades, so it's possible the slow down doesn't effect her.

@XxColdFangxX Well, no one I hit seems to be slowed at all. I've hit Octanes, Wraiths, etc. and they still run as if I didn't shoot at them.

Then whenever I get shot at, I can barely move or slide. I basically move as if I was hit by the current Seer tactical, (where it slows and disables your abilites for 10 seconds, which in all honesty needs to be removed ASAP, that's broken and not right).

This is an interesting issue. I wondered at times if we see things differently because of the netcode. For example, you see the slow down because your local character is being hit locally and it immediately impacts you. The character you hit is still moving fast because they covered the normal amount of distance before they were told they were hit (net lag) and therefore you can't see them "back up" to where they actually should go???

    Just wondering out loud.

(Netcode is of great interest to me at this time, and is the reason I stumbled upon Apex. I wanted to see how it handles client prediction in certain cases.)

It's game level master engineering. Bullet slow down is based on rubber banding. That's why people with higher ping seems not affected by this.

  • @PsyhiX69 There are no legends in the game that will not slow. Even big legends slow. The difference with bang is she has doubletime when being shot at.

@AreYouShivering So if I understand you correctly, it isn't that the other guy learns later that he was hit, but that your guy had to smooth out its "backup" to where the other guy hit you?

    If so, that is interesting.

This is exactly my experience most of the time...
