Why can't I gift skins or apex coins to friends?

I want to buy something for my friends, for example now that I see the Wraith Voidwalker skin I know for sure that one of my premades really loves the skin and I would like to gift it, but I can't since I only have the option "Buy now" or "Add to wishlist"... what the hell is this, any other game literally has "Buy as a gift" option wether is in-game or in the platform of the game, but it has it.  I guess I won't gift anything to my friends ☹️
