Why can't my club be [GAY]?
Why is "GAY" considered inappropriate for a club tag? I understand some people use it as a slur, but a lot more people use it to honestly identify themselves, even in polite company. When you take ...
"I just don't understand why it even matters? "
It matters because they are blocking it on grounds of being offensive, when there is actually nothing offensive about the word.
Can it be used hatefully/offensively? I'm sure the 12 year olds of the internet can accommodate.
But the word itself is not offensive. And being told that something about is offensive and not allowed, is insulting.
I do agree personal stuff should be left out of video games.
@Irres169 I agree that religion and beliefs and other things shouldn't be forced onto players (unless that's the specific design easily apparent to the consumer, at that point you know what you're getting into. Like Bioshock. At least infinite has a story that has a deeply rooted religious belief that's forced onto players) But we're talking about an optional thing for personal use that has no effect on the experience for anyone else.
Which i think is fine. We're not the dummies in the firing range, as much as someone might not agree, our personal quirks and traits translate into how we play our games and who we play as. I love playing support characters. Others don't. Our personality traits can have a factor into that.
