Being impatient has nothing to do with it.. If your team has no intention of reviving you there should be no penalty. They should be penalised for not trying to get you. Waiting to die after being knocked then waiting for you respawn to time out is basically a 5 min penalty for playing with people who abandon you.. thats b.s.
Actually i got 10 mins because my game crashed and i got a 5min a couple of weeks ago.
I can ofc not know exactly what happened in this situation, but once again is the OP so sure that he is a totally innocent victim and his teammates the big bad villeins.
You say that your "team mates left you in the storm and had no intentions of coming back" and that "they should be penalized for not trying to get you". For all we know, you solo raided away from your team and got knocked or simply were to greedy and looted too long before running. This maybe even happened in the later rounds when the circle does 20-25 dmg per tick.....All I know is that NO ONE in ranked wants to play as an incomplete team, which means that IF there is a possibility to get the banner, and respawn you, they WILL do it, unless it means significant risk.
Once again, I dont know what happened, but if it happened like I suspected, then you have to stop being a child and recognize your own fault. But IF you actually got matched with two A-holes that simply refused to get your banner for no reason, then suck it up, wait the timer or quit and get banned.

I wemt to where the jm pinged after lookingaround and seeing that there was no enemies dropping in near us. My "team mates" changed location without a ping, i asssume they were in a party chat and left me to a battle which kuckily got 3rd partied and i was able to escape only to be stuck i the storm and knocked.. why should i have to suck it up and cop an approx 5min ban while waiting to time out because my team mates were *?? Yes there was no way for them to get to me because the storm would have killed them, but thats only because they chamged locations withiut using their ping.. if you are jm and pick a spot to land land there... if you choose a new spot ping it.. so again why should i be banned for my * team mates??

This is want you sign up to when playing with randoms. If you're telling the truth and actually got so unlucky that your two randoms screwed you over during the jump, marking a place and going somewhere else far away (even though I think you are polishing the story a bit to your advantage), then I understand the frustration. But you knew the deal when you choose to jump in a ranked game with randoms; you will get punished for leaving prematurely, period. And in most cases, people WONT act like this in ranked so thats why you should "suck it up", wait for the timer and move on.
What Im trying to say is that playing with randoms IS a lottery by its definition. You CHOOSE to play with random players that have random playing styles, random tryhard-ness, random communication skills etc. Dont expect them to be the perfect match for you, and thats why we play with premades you know.- 6 years ago
As the random in 99% of the games I play, I have to say I make it a point to stick with the other squads. If they ping someplace and for whatever reason change location without me noticing, I will trek to where they are immediately, even if it means not looting much to get there. Running solo is death in this game if you bump into another squad. Awareness of your squad is survival. Even if they are not that good it is better to have that support than nothing at all.
Also in ranked, I always will wait around. I have had some games where I didn't think my squad was going to get me and they were able to get in and grab my banner in the nick of time and spawn me back into the game. If you were late game and the circle would melt them if they attempted to get you because you were too deep into it because you didn't keep close to them. As the random that is on you. Just wait the 90 seconds or whatever, take it as a learning experience and move on. Or take the penalty. Whatever
Seems like if you can't quite adjust your play style to fit this mode you need to drop with friends in a pre-made squad or stick with regular. The agitating thing about these posts is that it is always everyone else's fault and the penalty is not just. The penalty is working as intended.
- 6 years ago@Babbediboopi dude you are talking like everyone in ranked is a perfect teammate... that is just not true i got banned while i knocked 2 people on the train and fell off the train and then i got knocked 2 of my teammates were just looting while they could come and save me they just need to hit the last guy that is reviving.... and ofc i see there is no intention to come for me so i leave to play another game and then boom you are banned.... so yea people are dumb and they dont care about the game they care just about loot and kills...

Quite the opposite. The "perfect teammate" is subjective; the kind of players that I prefer to play with is probably totally different from your perfect teammate. Some players prefer to avoid fights and sneak their way to RP gain, so who am I to tell them that they must go for my banner if I die far away from them? Some players play only for kills, also in ranked so who am I to tell them that they must sneak their way to RP gain etc etc.All I am saying is that people should be aware of this when choosing to play with random teammates.
