Why do I need xbox live gold to play the game
Honestly this should a thing of the past.
@marcbroadley I think this is something you would need to take up with Microsoft as they are the ones who set the prices for their Xbox services. 🤔

Do X Box owners really have no access to free games unless they join some club?
Or is Apex an exception.
@OneEyeYarricYou don't have to pay for a free game. Don't get it twisted or say some misinformed statements like that. You pay to be able to play online games, get free games per month and get discounts on other games. No one is making you play a free to play game, but if you want to do it on the Xbox, (unfortunately?) you have to be a Gold Member.
@marcbroadleyLolz if people are struggling financially, it's not in their best interest to buy a console/pc for which they need to purchase games (there's also free games... but yea who only has those). I have no idea where you get the £84 from. I don't even think it's that high buying it in the MS store, which is subsequently the most expensive option. You can easily get it for £40-50 a year. I'd rather pay for the 'maintenance of the servers' than have a free version to play f2p online games like Playstation honestly.12 ×7 =84 sorry I did round up
