I look at it like this -
Apex is like an old apartment building falling apart, barely livable. Yet packed with residents.
The owner of the apartment building is lets say EA.
The manager of the complex is... well, Respawn.
Owner (EA), raises the rent for the residents by 3 times. Owner has increased his income from the apartment triple fold, and is racking in cash. All while the apartment is falling apart. Pipes leak, elevator has been out of service for a year, the base heaters barley work, no water pressure, mold on the ceilings, termites and * roaches have made a home within, no fire extinguishers, poor lighting, fire escape routes too dangerous to use and.... well, you get the point.
Owner (EA) is making triple the money off the residents, and as such, has made a small fortune - yet refuses to put any of that fortune (not even a tiny percentage of it) back into the apartment building for the residents to feel, safer, happier and secure.
Residents knocking on the Manager's door (Respawn) to no end, trying to get the building issues dealt with.
Manager (Respawn) behind his door, while an angry mob of residents demand fixing of their home.
Manger (Respawn) says quietly from behind the door - "Nobody's home, go away."
My interpretation of Apex Legends in a nutshell.

It has all become a bad joke.... EA are now dead to me as publisher, they can't uphold communication with customer. All they do is producing heaping amont garbage skins that has way to high price point.... fed up with the poor customer service game developers have today. Now even bethesda are claiming customers in some sense to be ignorant, stupid and unrealistic for demanding better qualiry for the high price paid. Honestly EA made huge profits and they have money to invest. At this point I am more encouraged to teach the younger generations coming after me that, my favorite hobby, online gaming with people from all over the wolrd is more or less becomong a lazy scam with extreme inhuman behavior towards each other....
