Why does diamond rank even exist?

I reached Diamond IV again this season and literally every match me and my squad is matched against predators. I've fought the #1 and #2 Predators many times now and this is in a diamond lobby. There...

I’m just freaking tired of bad teammate in ranked game that took your main character and play it like a noob just fixed the matchmaking in ranked in a way that we choose the champion before the matchmaking cause I main pathfinder and I can’t played 2 game in a row without a useless teammate take it I just want to play every ranked as pathfinder for being at the peak of my power I’m very sick to be obligated to loose point cause of noob teammate taking my pathfinder 😢

      I saw someone ask a streamer this question why Diamonds need to go against Predators. I think it's fair actually. If a Diamond is trying to reach Predator, you need to go against and face Predators. This helps you improve your game and get better when you go against other good and skilled players.
