Why does PING show so large?
I noticed that the ping measurements for the servers I usually use (east coast) are lately in the 390ms range, rather than 33ms range. Quite a difference. Yet, it doesn't seem like that is accurate....

Again, I am seeing Data Center: South Carolina - GCE1 (31-822ms 0%PL)
When I look at the list of data centers to choose from, they all show the high value and they are all very high.
Why the wide range being reported for? How should I interpret this?
- @MrGreenWithAGun Data centers that are near me are usually saying they're high ping, while servers in Japan are somehow less laggy and I get a better ping. Sometimes logging on, it says the nearest server is 1,000-2,000 in ping but then goes down when I reload the game.
- @Midnight9746 Strangely they show 29mm - 33ms today.
I am just curious what the larger number represents, because that is in the list with the various servers.- @MrGreenWithAGun Well, considering that servers get DDOS'ed often, and players are exploiting and glitching the game to cause the server to crash or kick players, (in a non-DDOSing way), we're most likely seeing the ping of those servers. That's my guess at least.
