Also keep in mind that your teammates are at the same lobby, so you wont get any noobs in your team!
If there was no SBMM you could get much better OR much worse teammates...

This game already has a ranked mode so why don't they make SBMM in normal matches scale down to the lowest player instead of go up to the highest. I love to be able to play with my son without having to make a smurf account so he doesn't get destroyed by Predator and Diamond players constantly.

Well if they scale down to the lowest player (your son) YOU destroy all others...

So scaling down to lowest player of the premade is no option at all...
There would be a lot abuse of that function too!
In other games the lowest player is buffed or the strongest player nerfed.
But have no idea how you would do that in Apex...
