Why is there bullet drop when the person is 2 inches in front of me??

Just to get things out the way I know I damn well suck at the game, by no means a decent player what so ever. However I can’t help but seem to notice that no matter what gun I’m using, it usually happens with single fire shot weapons, my reticle is on the enemy but because they strafe 0.001 second before shooting the bullet doesn’t hit. It just baffles me and makes no sense, it’s till the point where I don’t even know where to aim anymore! I aim at the target they don’t get hit, I don’t aim directly on the target I hit them, sometimes it works sometimes it don’t it makes no sense!!! This game is just as good as my skill and that’s not very good at all I have no problem admitting that. I just can’t tell if I’m actually missing or if this game is just terrible which I don’t doubt that be the case. See in call of duty, fortnite, I can tell if I missed cause the bullet will actually go past them, I can tell my shot was off, I shot too fast, sensitivity too high,  etc. but in apex I can’t tell if I’m missing or if it’s a no reg or why aiming in apex just seems different from other FPS games in general. I know this game is of poor quality but I would love to know what is the deal with this game

  • I really understand what you mean.

    I also don't know how the hell I can miss with a spitfire a target thats 2m or less away when I hippfire. On my screen in looks like i have no recoil, but the bullets went in all directions,  as I would have an epileptical attack.

    Thats what I will never understand in some games. Cause no matter what recoil a weapon has, you should be able to unload the whole mag in the enemy that close. But not in Apex, I guess...

    @II-LAZZARUS-II

    The area of randomness of your bullet spread when shooting from hipe fire has literally doubled with the new patch which makes hip fire a real gamble.  I saw some data on this and apparently, the hip fire bullet spread area without laser sight is 2x, about the same with blue laser sight and just slightly better with purple compared to hip fire before the patch. This data was obviously for SMGs and I am not totally sure if this is exactly the same with ARs and LMGs but all and all; using hip fire now is usually a bad choice and its all RNG how much dmg you will do =)

    I guess we have to re-learn that habit. In semi-close 1v1s before the patch, I would usually start of the spray in hipfire, trying to land some shots to slow him down and then switch to ADS mid-spray when I had him locked down. This is much less ineffective now and I am have not yet get rid of my habit to do this.

    @Balladalidila

    And yet people still refuse to believe that luck plays a bigger role in this game than skill, whatever that word even means anymore.

    Well this change is trying to minimize luck, doesnt it? I never liked the power of hip fire, especially with R99 and Prowler so making hip fire terrible and only about even as it was before the patch if you have the best laser sight is a step in the right direction to minimize luck? Now you have to make choose to either keep momentum and speed and be super inaccurate or ads and be accurate but slow.

  • @YaBoyRicky666 what i always have issues with is people moving right before my bullet hits them at close range. i swear im a pro at missing by 1 inch every shot with the wingman
