This may not be SBMM's wrong doing. The queue needs to constantly have 60 20 bomb / 4k / Apex Predators to open a match just for them and keep them out of other lobbies. If we consider that they are like 0.2%, this would roughly translate to having a queue of 30.000 players on every server, at any time, which is pretty impossible.
Also, considering the limitations provided by queue numbers and premade party combinations, the formula becomes pretty irrelevant. Anyway, I suspect it's something really basic, like kills/ hour, maybe coupled with a few conditions like a minimum damage done, time survived, placement , xp acquired, etc..

@DoYaSeeMe Well if that's the case then I'm honoured the game thinks I belong in some top 1% lobby lol.
But seriously though the biggest problem I see with this SBMM (that I'm still not sure if it even exists or not tbh) is that unless you're in a premade, the game does this thing where it kind of puts people into teams to fill some sort of quota so you usually have teams like one good player+ one average player+ one bad/new player etc, but those dysfunctional teams are still dumped into the same lobbies with premades and duos for the sake of fast queue times.
Unless respawn releases their concurrent player counts it's hard to decide whether they're justified or deserve all the hate they're getting but ofcourse, transparency was never EA's strong suit

- 6 years ago@Pretzelnutcake We already have queue numbers. In my matches, they're usually like 100-400 players in queue, which is a very small pool for SBMM to work properly.
If you get 10 highly skilled players in the lobby, while the rest being beginner to average, would you prefer those sweats to be coupled together and stomp everyone else in their way?
