Shotguns are good for the game, someone needs to kill those no skilled dog spitfire players, otherwise that stupid gun is the best at every range. i love to grapple right into a spitfire players face and blast his head off with a shotgun.
the game would legit be so boring if shotguns didnt exist.
imagine apex legends where people only use spitfire and snipers. do you really want a game like that???
- @Hapsdogedori The amount of times I get killed by a sniper weapon in contrast to the amount of times I get killed by a shotgun is like a comparison between the Mariana Trench and the mount everest. In my countless hours I haven't even died to a Kraber yet. But EVA-8? Ho boy. Dem number goes into the thousands probably.
@Peri_Longbow_plz yeah i get that...but i really think there should be weapons that can take out guns like wingman, r301, bow and spitfire in a close range fight.
So that the isnt about who gets the best long ranged gun

The problem isn't the damage the Shotguns dish out. Thinking back to it, I think almost every PvP and PvE shooter I have ever played has made shotguns a one-shot-kill weapon. It's the viability. EVA-8 and Mastiff are extremely forgiving shotgun that still pack a massive punch. Both can shoot pretty quickly, deal 2-tap damage in early stages and they have usually a very easy-to-predict pattern.
Some of these problems could be solved by making mobility less of a balance issue but hey, what do I know, I just keep dying to the same things over and over again with no way to counter it.
