Why shotguns don't belong in Apex Legends

Shotguns are good for the game, someone needs to kill those no skilled dog spitfire players, otherwise that stupid gun is the best at every range. i love to grapple right into a spitfire players face and blast his head off with a shotgun.

the game would legit be so boring if shotguns didnt exist.

imagine apex legends where people only use spitfire and snipers. do you really want a game like that???

@Hapsdogedori The amount of times I get killed by a sniper weapon in contrast to the amount of times I get killed by a shotgun is like a comparison between the Mariana Trench and the mount everest. In my countless hours I haven't even died to a Kraber yet. But EVA-8? Ho boy. Dem number goes into the thousands probably.

  @Peri_Longbow_plz yeah i get that...but i really think there should be weapons that can take out guns like wingman, r301, bow and spitfire in a close range fight.
  So that the isnt about who gets the best long ranged gun

  The problem isn't the damage the Shotguns dish out. Thinking back to it, I think almost every PvP and PvE shooter I have ever played has made shotguns a one-shot-kill weapon. It's the viability. EVA-8 and Mastiff are extremely forgiving shotgun that still pack a massive punch. Both can shoot pretty quickly, deal 2-tap damage in early stages and they have usually a very easy-to-predict pattern.
  Some of these problems could be solved by making mobility less of a balance issue but hey, what do I know, I just keep dying to the same things over and over again with no way to counter it.
