I Assume it has to do with the high probability that 99.5% of consoleplayers wouldn’t play with mnk anyways.
and it would also be a rough awakening for the ones that actually try it out and realize what it means to run into aimassist while beeing on mnk 😉
we have to try to keep the bubble that aimassist is fine alive 😉
This answer sounds to me like it is very missing true reality.
Many people dont have wide experiences what technologies exists and what is each capable of.
So let me explain.
Consoles
Consoles are just regular computers. They are mostly weaker than regular gaming PCs and can achieve mostly 120Hz refresh rate (PS5) or 60Hz (PS4).
Some consoles are really bad for game like is Apex Legends (Nintendo switch).
Both PS consoles let you plug mouse and keyboard and some games also support it (Fortnite).
But you can play also on some version of controller.
Problem is that basic version of controller is so weak for competitive gaming.
So most gamers playing apex legend do use moded controlers that can let than have better controls than regular one. (I mean back paddles etc...)
And some gamers go further and pay for external devices like is cronus that is basicaly cheating. And Apex devs are not able to ban such devices. Only action from Playstation devs did ban such devices for PS5.
So do have EA some shadow market deal with controllers manufacturers that they allow play on console only with controller?
Playing with basic controller feels really bad. And I dont like it and dont want to invest time to learning it or buying moded one. I want use my cheap mnk and compete against cheaters that you allowed to exist with your policy.
In order to make game competitive you need cancel crossplay, ban moded controllers, ban cronus etc.
And to make it really competitive just ban aim assist and allow mnk for all devices and than make lobby based on input type.
Dont be desulisional, just google how many cronuses was sold onlike this year..
