I do not understand WHY this change was necessary at all! ALL IT DOES is make it so you are unable to play with friends for a game CONSTANTLY when the matchmaking is absolute trash at keeping you all together and then you have to wait 10 minutes. WHY DO THIS?????? It baffles me wtf these developers think sometimes I swear.

@MoNosDirtyGaming BECAUSE YOU ARE SCREWING YOUR RANDOM TEAMATES OUT OF A 3RD PLAYER! Baffles me that you think it’s cool to leave your ranked teamates to 2v3 the whole game right from the start... Regardless of the reason you qued in ranked with randoms, it’s wrong to screw them out of RP just because you want to immediately leave and play with your friends. Imagine going solo into ranked and then only having one teammate...

Well I can tell you’ve probably never made it past plat 4 if you think you can easily solo all the way up the ranks. Hit diamond and then tell me solo que is easy. Unless you a top 1% player, your going to get dumped on by sweaty 3 stacks every game. Besides even if you can solo in bronze through gold or even platinum, the randoms probably aren’t that good and like I said, you end up hurting their game.Your issue shouldn’t be with not being able to leave ranked matches since it has consequences to your teamates and that’s a valid reason to have penalties. It should be connection/servers/matchmaking, since that’s what’s causing you to play with randos in the first place.

@MoNosDirtyGaming You clearly have something wrong, your saying you are in diamond but you never have a team? I find it hard to beleive that you are the best player alive. Apex legends is a team game if you leave games before you are dead and have no chance of being respawned then you are ruining it for your teammates. If a ranked player is unable to win without any team, not even randoms then that does not mean they are bad.

@MoNosDirtyGaming you are a special kind of person. Screw the RP, what do you think it does for the experience? You should NEVER be able to leave a ranked match intentionally without suffering a penalty. People don't join matches to play 2 v lobby. The fact you think it is okay at all is a puzzle to me.

Dude I call 110% BS on you “masters” rank lol. Everyone always acts like an amazing player when they are called out. Why don’t you show me your stats?? I’ve made it to high diamond and could have gone farther if I didn’t spend 90% of every split in pubs but the fact that your bringing in skill to a subject about leaving teamate shows that your either arrogant or, like someone who hasn’t made it in high ranks, don’t understand that this is a TEAM based game and unless your fighting bots all game, your not going to perform nearly as well in ranked as you would with a team. I.e.- You leave your teamates, they have a harder time. THATS COMMOM SENSEEven Shroud made the statement that when facing really good players, the only way you win a 1v3 is because they made a mistake.So please, stop being the typical internet pro gamer and acting like “I just don’t understand why I can’t leave my teammates at the beginning of a game because I’m so good that it doesn’t affect me when people do it to me”. Ridiculous... Think about the rest of the game population, especially the average player who is the majority and does not share that opinion on teammates leaving early forcing them to have a rough game most of the time.And no, it’s not “doable to solo your way up”, unless your a sub 1% player but that doesn’t speak for everyone in the game. Everyone has their skill limit and eventually, you will need good teammates to get any higher. A player with a 1kd and less than 10% wr is not going to make it very far without good teamates and especially if he’s only in a 2 man team.

@Ki1lobyte Again, as i've repeated multiple times in this thread. You were able to leave ranked in the dropship starting 2 seasons ago due to matchmaking kicking you out of parties.. It kicked in loss forgiveness. This meant that both teammates who were now without a third person were able to also leave without loss forgiveness, it also meant that if they died and incurred negative RP; loss forgiveness would still kick in. Meaning all 3 teammates do not lose RP. WHICH ALSO MEANT that they could play a very aggressive playstyle with no punishments. It was a win for everyone.

Lmao, chill dude, the abandon penalty is there for a reason and honestly I think it should be in pubs too. It sucks when you have a teammate that drops hot, dies, then leaves, especially when you had the chance to get them. Good for you being someone who does nothing but play apex, congrats you can solo lobbies sometimes, but just because you play like that in a TEAM based game doesn't mean that you shouldn't be punished for hurting your teammates.

@The7O2Guy I'm not saying I disagree with the abandon penalty, cause I welcome it. The point I'm trying to make is that 2 seasons ago you got loss forgiveness for leaving in the dropship before the game even started, meaning you could re-group with your friends because the matchmaking was awful. This did not hurt teammates in anyway because they would still get loss forgiveness and not lose RP if they died prematurely. But it has been taken away, meaning you are forced to play with other people when you queue's up originally with friends.

The way I'm seeing MoNo's point is
*Ques ranked with friends*
*Game starts but one friend is replaced with random party member because EA glitch)
*Leave game* (Respawn made it so if you Que'd this way and it glitches out, you and your teammates, even the rando, wont suffer RP loss)
*Still suffers Time Penalty / RP Loss*

@MoNosDirtyGaming Well then, yes, there should be protection for premade squads to be premade. But then again - it's a glitch or a feature? Never happened to me in premade squad. Maybe it's something with consoles, hmm or server is mixing players for some reason.
