Wingman change?

This horse has been beaten to death, everyone talks about it so here's my thoughts on it.
This game is amazing, having 8 unique characters really makes each battle more fun, but their is one dreadful thing that is apparent in every single fight.

The Wingman.

The gun as an idea is great, high damage, head shot reliant gun, but this game unfortunately takes that and throws it in the trash honestly. Here's my thoughts on how it would be both a insanely good gun when someone with good aim uses it, while also being balanced so it's not the one weapon you find literally everywhere.

1. The obvious.

No extended mags on a gun that pumps out nearly 300 DPS, even when you click heads consistently one man with a revolver shouldn't be able to kill 6 people in a row without reloading when they have maxed armour.


2. High skill, high reward.

Lower the body shot damage, increase the headshot damage. Make it so the revolver chunks for 33 damage per shot, but has a 2.2x headshot moddifier that can be increased to 3.3x

This will still let it kill in 3 shots when hitting consistent headshots without the skull piercing modifier, and will punish body shots more. Making it so that the gun has a slightly slower fire rate would be a welcome change, but keeping it to having a super high TTK when you click heads consistently is understandable.

3. Hipfire.

This game has insanely good hipfire with all guns, but maybe make the wingman less so? Again, high skill high reward. Introduce grips for the gun, that would allow you to aim down sights faster as well remove sway from the pistol the higher the rank.

4. Who knew the best sniper was a pistol.

Over LARGE ranges add damage drop off. It should keep this damage at close range, but lose it after medium. Snipers should be viable too.

5. Buff other weapons.

Every single weapon should be viable in one way or another. Diversity makes games fun after all, add more unique hop ups. Imagine if the Mozambique could be turned into a energy shotgun with a hop up? Make it shoot 3 death lasers with tighter spread or something interesting like that.

  • 1. Extended mag can stay just make it lower ammo capacity at start while with max it should be 6, that way it wont be super deadly at early stages and at endgame it wont be spray and pray for high reward.
    2. Damage is fine as it is, its just that ADS is same as no ADS and huge magazine.
    3.There could be if you ADS it gets accuracy buff in 0.5s that gets canceled while out of ADS, that buff would make it same accuracy as it is now. I admit at super close range it is way too good while hipfiring but it might be because you have 12shots and thats quite a lot to spray and pray.
    4.There is damage fall off in terms of it cant headshot past certain distance, for wingman it is 250m, snipers have 750m and AR have 300m.Also wingman has way slower shots than longbow or triple take so they are easier to hit long distance enemies.
    5.Mozambique , RE-45 and P2020 are supposed to be trash. Other weapons are viable on its own already with maybe flatline and alternator exception, but even they can melt enemy face if you can get over their *.
  • I get the idea of "some guns are supposed to be trash" but at the same time, making certain guns unusable just makes for a bad experience with way less diversity. And after doing some testing I was able to crank out 4 shots in 1 second using the wingman, meaning it can do anywhere between 180 - 400 DPS per second. I'd just like the game to be in a more unique stat without a super hard defined meta. The best way would be to nerf the wingman, apply small buffs to various other guns and add more hop ups and guns as time goes but currently the game is in a heavily Wingman / Peacekeeper meta right now, with those 2 guns being 75% of what I see people carrying around.

  • they just need to make it so you cant strafe so quickly with it while also not be able to fire the thing mid to close range while not ADSing. the dmg doesnt bother me, its meh but the dmg while being shot at while someone isnt aiming down the sights of a pistol with heavy ammo....its cheese as #$%@
