Wingman need to be nerf!!

I read lots of topics,  but is unreasonable you guys nerf 301, flat, g7 then some legends, won't nerf that f*** WINGMAN. A pistol should not been doing that much damage.  This is some Ex you guys cut do.

If keeping the damage is so important, nerf the fire rate and bullet drop. Make it slower.

Buff catalyst, little bit more...

@matzesingt Definitely agree on this one. I just posted a thread this morning, complaining about how terrible I am with the Wingman, Lol! Unless you can successfully hit most of your shots, and consistently hit headshots (very few people fall into this category), the Wingman loses to pretty much any other gun. I had a match in TDM last night, using solely the Wingman, and had nearly 3k damage with 0 kills.
  • @TheKingJoker8I know tis a tad late but it was way "worse", it has been nerfed already y'know and truefully didn't agree to it back then to it too.

It's a skill ceiling weapon and a high caliber weapon thus dealing high damage i think it's in a good spot and should rather be left alone rn, you have no idea what storm you'll unleash when nerfing it again :>

Use it, learn it and get comfy with it and you'll see yourself it's not easy to get all the potential out of it when compeeting against Rifles, Shotguns or whatever.

@NitoTanaka It needed a nerf. Once you reach that skill cieling and you're popping shots off like nothing, then it losses it's downside. It's essentially a fast firing longbow in pistol form with less range, less drop, and more dps. All it takes is one bullet to deplete somebody's shields.

If you ever get into a close encounter scenario with another enemy, try hipfiring with it and you'll see just how mindless it can sometimes be.
  • @Dragadur You are very wrong.
Wingman loses close range against smgs and shotguns.
And it loses mid to longrange vs scout and 30/30 and nemesis

So why exactly pick it now ? The only reason is that it can do everything decently but nothing very good… it’s barely used now for a reason

If you're losing against everything with a wingman, that's not a weapon problem, that's a skill problem

Keep in mind that most players are running with blue and purple shields with the occasional red shield here and there. You can potentially down all of them with a base mag. Smg users have use more than one clip with a base mag, shotguns are immensely slow without a bolt, and 30-30 has to charge up to get around the same damage a wingman deals out.

Also I completely disagree about it being barely used. I see it all the time, usually in the hands of sweats running the car or 99.

  • @DragadurI Hope you have some proper account somewhere hidden in your pockets to actually dare to talk about skill…

But from your argument about smgs it’s pretty obvious that there is none else you would know that you can oneclip people with base smgs…even red armor…with a purple mag it’s pretty easy to oneclip red armor
So no you don’t need 2 clips to oneclip people… 90% of my kills are oneclips with volt or r99.
And btw I am a wingmanplayer at heart played all the way up to diamond 2 in arena with wingman only.
Scout 30/30 and especially nemesis are just objectively better. The key word here is scopes 4x/3x beats 1x/2x as simple as that. So there is no reason to use it for poking and there is no reason to use it close

Some people stick to it because they are used to it and because it is a very rewarding fun to play but the reality is that nemesis took over in the poke battle and it ofc beats the wingman by a lot in close range not even a challenge

The only gun that needs a nerf is the Nemesis. 1 burst, your armor is gone, 2 burst, you're dead in white to blue armor, you're dead in 3 with purple to red armor. There's no point in trying to play the game as almost everyone has the Nemesis, and I'll see everyone on a team all running the gun too. Its the main gun you hear all game.

  • @matzesingt"So no you don’t need 2 clips to oneclip people… 90% of my kills are oneclips with volt or r99."

This is interesting. I use the Volt and I don't get the best outcome from it or the 99 like I do the RE45.

I can with a 25 clip single clip players with the RE45, mostly because it seems easier to aim at close range than either the Volt or 99.

But I have heard people say the 99 melts at close range and I like seeing others like yourself tell us that the volt is effective. I will be trying to focus improving my aiming on the Volt going forward now.

I'm not that great of an aim, particularly because I choke under pressure, but I am improving... slowly...  :]

@MrGreenWithAGun Well I would recommend to start out with the volt to practice oneclipping.
It’s dps is terrible but it’s overall dmg per msg is quite good and it’s low rpm allows for many mistakes in tracking, while with an r99 if you get off target the oneclip will fail
