Would be nice

If enemies actually had audible footsteps when they are 10 feet from you it would be nice. I turn around to see a Pathfinder running right at me but not a single footstep to be heard.

Did you record a clip of this so we can review it? I understand circumstances likes that can be irritating when it results in a game loss, but we'll need some more information if there is a desire of this being investigated by the Apex Legends team. It's entirely possible the player snuck up on you by walking or crouch walking.

Some useful pieces of information we can ping over to the bug reporting forum for our QA team:

    • Video footage (if possible)
    • Platform you play on (if it's PC, including a DxDiag is helpful so we know hardware configurations)
    • Are you using overlays
    • Audio device you use (headset/speakers)
    • Additional custom audio configuration details
  • Audio has been buggy since the game first came out, and truthfully it seems the worst in this Season. Drop an item onto snow sometimes, and the sound it makes is ridiculously loud, somehow louder than the gun currently in your hand while firing. Yet somehow enemy players opening doors, dropping down behind you, running, walking, reloading, using consumables, are deathly quiet. It's amazing how many times an enemy has gotten behind me without a sound, despite ambient noise levels being just as quiet.

I watched him run a corner right beside me and I've tried submitting videos but it seems like anything bigger than 2-3 seconds is too large to be submitted. The occurrence is rare but it happens, I assume it has something to do with server lag, who knows.
