Wraith Passive Rework — Danger Sense
I think Wraith needs a stronger passive that better represents her character and brings her closer to the power level of other Skirmishers like Alter and Ash.
New Passive: Danger Sense
Wraith should receive a directional warning whenever an enemy outside of her field of view is actively aiming at her.
For example:
“Someone is watching you.”
The warning would indicate the general direction the threat is coming from, but would not reveal the enemy by default.
I think the cooldown should be very short, around 1–2 seconds, because this is primarily information for Wraith herself. It wouldn’t damage enemies, scan an entire team, or automatically give her squad wallhacks.
Legend Upgrade Options
Her upgrades could make the passive significantly stronger.
Upgrade Option 1 — Void Sight
Enemies who trigger Danger Sense are briefly revealed to Wraith.
This would reward players who choose an information-focused upgrade while still keeping the reveal limited to Wraith.
Upgrade Option 2 — Deadly Focus
If an enemy is aiming at Wraith through a sniper or marksman optic, they are highlighted to her.
This would give Wraith a unique counter to enemies holding long-range angles on her.
Why I Think This Fits Wraith
Wraith’s entire character revolves around sensing danger and having a connection to the Void. Her passive should make players feel like Wraith knows she’s being hunted before the attack happens.
Other Skirmishers have extremely impactful abilities and passives. Alter has powerful Void mobility, while Ash has strong tracking and aggressive information tools. Wraith’s passive currently doesn’t feel nearly as impactful by comparison.
This wouldn’t make Wraith overpowered because the passive:
- Doesn’t reveal every enemy around her.
- Doesn’t give information to her entire squad.
- Doesn’t prevent enemies from attacking her.
- Only reacts to enemies looking/aiming at her from outside her vision.
- Still requires Wraith’s player to react correctly.
- Can be balanced through range, duration, and cooldown.
I think Wraith should have one of the strongest individual defensive information passives in the game, because that’s what her character is supposed to be about.
Let Wraith know when danger is coming. Let the player decide what to do with that information.
That would make her passive feel powerful, unique, and worthy of Wraith’s character again.
