I agree. If a person knows what he's doing with his cheats, they will get away with it until someone else using the same cheat will not customize it appropriately and so will expose the cheat to be included among EAC's checks and be eventually banned that way.
However, custom made cheats, which I would guess would cost much more and be only accessible to an "elite" audience, will be protected from unskilled cheat users reducing exposure by a lot.
There also are cheats that run on hardware, not a simple macro, but actual radar and aimbot. These cheats are not detectable by anticheats.
I would point to a source, but I'd rather keep unlisted --it is a youtuber who exposed that type of cheat a while ago (I'd imagine by now that cheat has been improved by a large margin).
Your correct, I've researched this issue in the past. While they can suspend accounts, it is an issue with the issue arising from the controllers, making in undetectable. Where on pc, if the cheat were to be found. Your video card would get flagged and no coming back to the game. Seemingly anyone traveling with built in ESP and Heavily Aim Assisted exploits are rampant in all FPS games, since cross platform has been introduced. The best times, is when "Pro" players, bring the crutches to events and the team can't put up the skill needed at live events and are shunned by promoters after being caught.
Cheater controllers are fully undetectable online. There is no communication between LIVE or Network and our modded controller. You will not get banned for using them during game play.
Spectate and you'll see people look at the ground then quick snap to a seemingly innocuous location then does it a couple more times. They are ESPing where the other people are and running like a fly to * to aim bot a victory. That * gets old, and how is that entertaining ruining the skill aspect of the effort for a reward of a script is performing its assigned task. Only so fun being unstoppable with zero skill on the community these people make lasting connections at. Before long, those 150 dollar controllers will have the exploit exposed be I doubt the developers are going to warn the cheaters when the goose gets cooked.
It happened a few years back, in H1Z1 the developer found a overly exploitable issue and banned everyone using it. Then perpetrators only recourse was they had the option to beg the dev's over twitter with apologies and good deeds to be invited back.
