regarding the boundaries of "game enhancement."

Hello everyone, I'm a new player who just started playing Apex at the end of February. Today I'd like to ask you alon regarding the boundaries of "game enhancement."

Here's what happened: My friend and I (both complete newbies with a KD of around 0.2) used the Watt accrator due to unstable internet. Later, we heard that you could write "acceleration scripts" to make the connection smoother, so we used DeepSeek to write a simple script aimed at optimiwork latency. In our understanding, this was just like the accelerator itself—a tool to prevent lag.

However, around the 10th match, during the final circle, permanently banned simultaneously. We submitted 10 appeals, and today we received a message stating "appeal limit reached," and the channel was closed.

I would like to ask the vetn players:

  1. Is this kind of "acceleration script" considered a violation? We really thought it was just network optimization.
  2. Are there any friends who have had similar experiences? Is therny chance of redemption due to using the script out of ignorance?
  3. If not, how can I unlink my EA and Steam accounts? I just want to play other games in my Steam libra😥

  • First off I want to let you know that nothing can really be done on these forums to overturn the decision made by the TOS Team. If you have already reached your appeal limit, then there isn't really anything that can be done to change that.

Now myself I'm not really aware what the 'Acceleration Script' in mention is, so it's hard to say what exactly is in violation of the Terms of Service. I don't believe the TOS team will be able to share the exact violation that was made here outside of "Game Enhancement".

Now with most games, usually manipulating packets (Either by modifying the contents, or delaying them on purpose) or by injecting the software into the game process, that would already be a violation of the TOS.

It's usually not recommended to generate a tool with AI for an anti-cheat protected game, as even if it weren't malicious, it could still trigger the anticheat if it's not well known what the tool does and how it interacts with the game. Usually it's best to stay with software that was designed specifically with that in mind (Though as far as I'm aware, there aren't any officially endorsed by EA)

Your best bet on seeing what caused is, is by checking the EA TOS and Positive Play Charter to see if anything in the tool would have violated those rules:
