Well now, tonight I was in a gold I ranked match doing ok, my 2 team mates dead and disconnected and I get a freeze. Was it my connection? Was it the servers? Idk can't argue the point as I don't monitor it. I have a reasonable connection tonight.Tried to reconnect and got code leaf and then somthing else which presented as a mix of the lobby screen and the starting match screen. Was then reconnected to a lobby to a minus 48 points and a 10 minute abandon penalty ban!I did not abandon anyone, I did not abandon the match, I tried and did reconnect fairly quickly.I have noticed over the last week things getting steadily worse with lag in apex, not so fortnite. I'm off to play fortnite, where I cannot recollect ever having a dc 😛

@OldTreeCreeper Got booted out of the server twice yesterday too. First time this whole season. Funny thing is we won that game. They might be doing something with the servers.

I feel like the game has gotten very buggy in recent weeks, both from my own experiences as well as the streams and videos I watch. I had one game today where every item I picked up took three tries, as well as every door I tried to open. Twice today I tried to finish players and, despite getting the prompt for it, no amount of pressing and holding the button would do anything. You would think I had unbound my square button! I've seen a whole slew of no-regs and similar lag issues like those I experienced on stream.

@pandareno1999 I've had a few of those this week too, again in ranked. I thought it was my controller (on xbox). Taking 3 or 4 goes to open a door and find myself still captive inside, but there was the 3 red dots in the top right of the screen and nothing wrong with my connection.
Ohoh here we go again on the cheap servers.

@OldTreeCreeper Same here I played with 2 friends in gold/plat lobbies and I was the only one who was kicked out of the game and also got 2 times an error and was back in the lobby with -48 as a penately and a ban with 10 min even tho I didn't leave the game (which is the opposite what happened). My mates said that in the whole round everyone was solo or as 2 around so I bet someone ddosed the server this time (I curse those people who are doing this to everyone who is innoced ffs)

It happens once in a while and is frustrating. My lag issues with Apex are not usually disconnects, but just impossible play.
Discons are frustrating but the points get earned back, until Plat. Even if I cared about rising through plat and diamond, I would go ballistic if I got a disconnect in those two ranks.
I would imagine there should be a reconnect forgiveness, even if you are the last team mate. It makes no sense to cut you off after something like 2 minutes or less. With a router restart, you have to give the person until they are grayed out. Let them come back, it matters.

@OldTreeCreeper There was a person on this forum a long time ago, think his name was wingmannedbro (might not have been him was way back) he was always going on about playing Fortnite, eventually he left the forum and played the game he enjoyed.

Point is, you love Fortnite go play it, nobody is holding you hostage.
