What i want to see is season 2-3-4 any of those brought back. Reroll all these pointless and ugly changes. It did nothng but anger the games population which should say a lot to the devs. The devs are most likely also taking hits from those above them for having such a horrible feedback season launch that cakes all others combined.
That shows that if ur not following ur players request then u will have no game at the end lol... what is mostly killing the game for my friends and myself rn is forced squads and their stupid deremate "3 people" * that makes no point. I bet if their solos then the player base will rise bc 60% of people hates squads.
@Romet6 I've talked about this before in a previous post, but basically game developers have to make a hard decision of prioritizing between their vision of how the game should be played, and how the population actually plays the game. For the most part, successful games veer more towards catering to enhancing their player base's established means of play, within reason. Thus they'll adapt their vision in order to better fit how the community actually plays.
An example of this would be Escape From Tarkov's recent change towards how loot works. Escape From Tarkov is a hardcore looter shooter which has you battling enemy AI and other players for survival, featuring realistic gun play, survival mechanics, a deep weapon customization system, and a free market economy system. But there exists something called a secure container, which you can put items in, and if you die, everything in said container stays with you. Everything outside the container is subject to be looted, and thus only the most prized possessions go in there. It's pretty small too, so you can't shove like, an entire AR into it.
So what ended up happening was a divide in the player base. You had people who ran around and shot others for loot (how the game was meant to be played) while others ran into raids with quite literally nothing at all, who memorized the most profitable spots per map, and ran straight to them to cram as much crap into their secure container as possible, and then either running to exit or dying. Eventually they patched loot so that way if you don't survive a raid, everything in your secure container becomes worthless. But I digress.
A three part (and IMO enjoyable) trilogy of Chads vs. Rats in Tarkov by Youtuber General Sam.

In our case here, the developers believe that their vision of how the game should be played and enjoyed, far trumps any criticism that their player base has. While they do try to incorporate community feedback into their updates, they only seem to do so through small meaningless updates, instead of major changes. On top of this, due to the initial success of Apex, and the financial success it continues to be, as well as who their publisher is, Apex is in a crappy state where profits are taken as hard evidence that everything is going well.
