Abandon Penalty Cooldown/Reset
I can't find any published info about a cooldown or reset of the abandon penalty after a specific time period has elapsed--other games I've encountered a deserter or leaver penalty in have integrated...

This conversation is so old. It’s simple, don’t leave your team early in ranked! If you do then you are the problem! Not the penalty, YOU!
I honestly don't mind the penalty but once we had a teammate who would go off on his own and refuse to comply. My friend and I died and we had to spectate the last guy. He was just sitting and camping poorly and we thought that since we were dead we would be allowed to leave but I clicked too fast and didn't realise you still got a penalty even when you were dead.
I'm an absent minded person so I don't want to rack up my penalties cuz I make nistakes
And this response is so old. It does not allow for d/c or accidental leaves which happen. All these righteous * insisting "don't leave" are the exact players who's team I never want to be on.
Yeah slap those leavers! Make them cry more and get their * glow red from spanking! HAHAHAH!
I bet this leavers give up in reallife too and just get nothing to the end.

Another Holier Than Thou poster...So you might be young enough to play all day without interruptions but sometimes I have to get up and attend to family members, family members may inevitably get hold of my controller whilst I've put it down because I can't bare watching another 500 kill Lifeline carry me around to die in his next gun fight in 20 minutes time, because quite literally as the saying goes, accidents happen. I accidentally left a game this morning, I got distracted, forgot I was playing ranked, came back to my controller (see point one) and then realised I had landed mid map without a gun or shield. I left using muscle memory because I know the button combo to do so without looking and then realised I had been penalised. That one is sorta on me BUT I don't expect to be shafted for a 45 min penalty from games I did intentionally leave 3 weeks ago.

Especially the immediate doubling. I just got hit with a 1,400 (24h) penalty. I let my son's play, add I guess sometimes they leave lol. But I left after all 3 teammates were downed. 1 was sitting on a self res, over 300m away from my other teammate and he went down. Sat there down for about 45 seconds. Other teammate goes down and so do I. So instinct, leave match. Boom 24hr ban. I have like 30 hours to hit predator and I'm diamond 1. I think it's completely ridiculous All these model players being all pro leaver buster. A leaver buster penalty would only be fair if i could stop getting flung into solo VS squad matches or duo VS squad. So FIX Your Sht before being High and mighty about leaving early when you have tweedle dee and tweedle dum running onto fights and running away the moment i engage. Leaving me to fight legion by my lonesome. Yes i am not a great player and can't take on the horde by my magnificent freaking self. ..!.
