hackers, smurfs and cheaters

been playing the new gamemode now alot. and ffs ea/respawn. are u so f horny for your streamers and content creators that u dont want to even try fix the issue ?!?!?!

did a test today. playd 20 matches of Wildcard. and not *ONE SINGLE MATCH was without a straight up aimbot hacker.. like this one dude was lvl 13 and had 47 kills and 10k dmg.

love this game. but the way EA treats its player base might be an issue when battlefield 6 drops.

i know EA never wanted apex to blowup like it did. but ffs then sell it to someone who wants to improve it. stop acting like a **bleep**ing child and let it all burn for no reason. apex truly are in the  position to rival cs, cod, and all other big fps. but EA want let it. rather see smurfs and hackers overtake the game, to post clips that maybe bring 10 new players to the game, then the realise how broken it is then they leave.

fight smurfs by making ppl sign in with bank id, or phone number or something, and step up anti cheat.

  • Wish I could have liked that a hundred times.

Multi-factor authentication is the single most important thing they can do right now. But the fact they're about to gamble their half-billion dollar BF6 without it tells me that in some way they depend on one single player having multiple accounts. Whether to inflate player counts or give cheaters a way back into the game... I couldn't say. Maybe it's for some other reason I haven't even thought of yet. Doesn't matter. BF6 is doomed to fail just like Apex, and I'll wager it doesn't take six years to happen either.

I know for a fact that at least 70% of players cheat in some way.

  • I couldn't agree more. Few things are more frustrating than playing a game for a half hour, only to be taken out by a quick burst of headshots from a seemingly new player halfway across the board. My patience is about used up with this **bleep** game and its inept/uncaring (pick one or more) stewards.

You know man, we have different ideas of failure.

Is the game slowly dying from Churn? Sure.

Is it a failure? Not at all. They made money hand over fist with the predatory loot boxes and power of the FOMO.

It succeeded at doing exactly what it was supposed to do. Feed types 4 and 5 to types 1 and 2 streamers so the type 3 try hard whales would spend money to be cool like their idols. It was a rousing success by that metric.

You're absolutely right. Financially speaking this game has been, and probably continues to be, a spectacular success. But how much money have they left on the table because they can't control the cheating problem and because they continue to allow secondaries to undermine their matchmaker? It's a lot. And the real kicker is that Andrew Wilson KNOWS THIS. It's why, no matter how much money Apex makes, he wants more. He was expecting more. He was telling his shareholders that there would be more. You would think he has as much interest in ending secondaries and cheaters as we do. And yet....
