Abandon penalty even though i leave after getting matched with 0 temmates

For god's sake respawn, first I get matched with no teammates then I get a penalty for leaving? 

Server issues, crash errors, system utilization issues, game mechanics not working properly and an absolutely trash matchmaking algorithm. Amazing job!!!

I have been penalized on multiple occasions before and most of these occurred not because I abandoned the game but because the god damn game doesn't work properly.
