Adding Son on ps5 to my xbox friends list

My son has started playing Apex, so I'm going to start playing as well. But we cannot add each other when we search our names won't appear. He can't search my username and vice versa. His ps5 account is a childs account, But Apex is on his allowed game list

Is there any way to add him to my friends list so we can play together.
