No. Bunny hopping is awesome. Movement based mechanics are awesome. Old school arena games are awesome.

It's a video game, realism is not necessary and actually unwanted in this game imo. It's not hard to do and it's very fun and rewarding if you'd stop being a stick in the mud and adopted the playstyle.
