Aim assist is balanced.
I feel like as a player the experience aiming and playing fps games that I have is completely de-valued by the fact that my competition has internal aim assistance. It blows my mind that we live in...
@NickBeam27when that happened it was like someone adjusted your car seat position without you knowing .
this kind of sudden change can cause a lot of problems but I am pretty sure that with time everyone will get used to it and will do the necessary adjustments and start killing it again.
and even if it goes completely off it will be the same as long the whole player base ( console ) is even with that.
there are a lot of people including some of the forum members who play with AA off and they still manage to compete.
the only thing that really upset me is when a PC player give a statement that all controller players are trash as the only thing that helped them to kill this PC player is AA , AA is OP ,AA got a huge advantage
then why the heck don't you buy a controller for 60 USD and become even a better player? but no one seems able to answer this question or want to answer whenever this question is asked XD
idk bro, if I changed your mouse sens or DPI you probably wouldn't just "get used to it overtime" but rather change it back,
and I don't have a controller and I can imagine how bad it is to aim on it
If I had to, I guess I would do my best to get used to it. But if I never have to - I would prefer that. 🙂
Something tells me my KD would just drop to an all-time low. It can't get any lower! 😃
@NickBeam27 Honestly, if you're transiting from AA to non AA the change isn't too drastic as long as you put some firing range time in.
CQC is the real adjustment though, you really feel the disadvantage then lol.
@RevMainPlsyou are confusing aim assist with aimbot
2 completely different aspects
aim assist helps your crosshair to stay on someone's body, I think it doesn't work on head or shouldn't
aimbot you could be 180° facing someone with your back, and instantly lock onto their head
No its not cod aa, it slows down your weapon when youre over someone, like change sense, so you can have faster sense and then be able to actually aim at the head when you come in area. Its not snapon aim assist like some game like Destiny has, or magnetic bullets like some have.
In destiny you can counter aa by letting your team cross back and forth and make the aim jump between the team so you spread the bullets because of the snapon and pull. I seem to remember I had to tune it to my sense to even make it work but then it slowed down so it was easier for me to track and aim when I had higher base sensitivity, cant remember it giving me a magic aim at all. But I have to admit I havent used controller since season 5.
Destiny aim assist is absolutely ridiculous. As you said, it doesn't work that way in Apex. But the people you're arguing with have no real interest in having an honest, informed discussion. They simply regurgitate talking points from their favorite twitch streamers. I stopped wasting my words quite some time ago on this issue.
@damsonwhufndthisNo my friend i dont,
Let me explain differences:
There are settings
For example Fov/Speed/Tolerance:
Fov: is just the distance where it kicks in and if you are not in the FoV meaning in the area needed so the aimbot or aimassist actually does something it simply wont do anything( this setting exists for both aimbot and aimassist)
Speed: as the name says just determines how fast the aimbot/aimassist pulls to the target, you can imagine the faster the more unnatural it will look
Tolerance: Determines how many shots are allowed to miss if you 0 this one you can be sure every single bullet will 100% hit the desired hitbox, ofc that would look super sus
Usually you would use Aimassist on your usual Shooting Keybind for example LMB. With very low FoV a decently high tolerance and realistic speed
If you would use aimbot at the same time you would have to bind it to a different keybind for example some sidebutton on the mouse with high speed high fov and low tolerance. For flickshots etc
But that doesnt mean you cant use Aimassist with extremly high FoV for example, and i can tell ya that AA from apex has extremely high FoV compared to AA of most hacks.
your last post here on this thread.
I really do not think it is needed to be talking about the cheats/hacks themselves and being descriptive on their use and how to set them
I really do believe this is against the ToS of this Forum and would advise that you either edit or delete that post so you avoid getting into trouble.
Your choice though.
@Asmodeus566dont see why it should be against the ToS to show differences between aimbot and aimassist
btw all theese settings also exist for apex AA because they are necessary to make it work
And yes it is needed to talk about regular cheats because AA in Apex does the same thing, so you can objectively compare them
I didnt encourage anyone to cheat nor did i cheat in apex
