I just noticed that aim assist is nerfed on console. Its not like before it feels wierd.

@RXYRP Yeah i did the ranked match placements and i struggled with aim too, it felt strange like AA was not the same. Maybe they're testing this but even so they should say this so at least we know it. I think we'll never get an official statement on this unfortunately.

@EA_David Happening in actual matches as well!! Very intermittent. You might have aim assist on one enemy, but the next enemy, the aim assist is completely gone

I noticed this as well, in game and tested in depth in firing range. tested across all sim input styles (classic, linear, etc), and 1-3x scopes.effectively, at short to medium range, if you use the right stick on ADS to a target and you cross the body of that target, AA is removed. You can stand there and wait, hands off the controller, and 2 minutes later the target will not have it. This is also happening in game, I tested it out on an AFK player in TDM. I was able to remove my AA by manually crossing the body of the player with the right stick at all.When you cross the player and leave the AA zone, you see the camera even out and the aim speeds up. The problem is coming back to the player, it never re-grabs. Once it’s gone, it’s gone.

Hello legends! I have conducted further testing, and concluded that AA is disabled when the opponent is looking at you / you are in their fov. Weird right? Edit 2: It gets weirder, when you don’t have AA, Ballistic’s tactical will show that you have locked on, but doesn’t actually lock on, negating the smart part of the smart bullet.Edit 3: the above was a one-off, also his tac occasionally crashes the game 🙂Edit 4: AA seems to turn on and off randomly, I have found no way of controlling it, except for dying seems to cause it with more frequency than anything else (If you play mixtape… don’t)

@RXYRP when AA is on it was normal to be honest , usually I feel the little changes but didn't during my short session yesterday.
but on the other hand it felt weird when I turn off the AA , usually when I do warmup in firing range I do it with AA off even when i do 1v1 with a friend.
but yesterday there was something strange , the aim was snapping but in a bad way and not accurate , feels like there is some kind of sudden acceleration in the stick.
I didn't change any of my settings and been using the same settings for a long time , even my friend said that " there is something wrong "

Hi, are you experiencing the "weird" AA in actual matches, or just in the Firing Range?
If it's just the latter, it looks like that's a bug that we have tracked.

@EA_David im experiencing in both firing range and the actual match, it feels very strange. I stayed playing 4 hours yesterday and it was feeling very loose when shooting and aiming a target.

@RXYRP This is interesting. A friend told me they noticed something weird in the range but not in game. You mention loose when aiming at a target. Was it loose when on target or near target where AA starts to slow the reticle. It kind of sounds like the .6 to .4 thing that happened a couple season ago.

@hayhor , it felt even more than that, it felt like less than 0.4.
as a console player i usually beam with a volt and r99, but yesterday i sensed a huge difference and couldn't do what I usually do. i even spectated other players when they kill me, i watched their aim it was loose and drifting from enemies as if they cant aim correctly. I saw a player waste 2 magazines without being able to kill an enemy that was in front of him. while he had 7 kills to his name in that match.
