If it's just the latter, it looks like that's a bug that we have tracked.

Anyone have an videos yet? When the accidental change was made before comparison vids started popping up almost instantly.
- 3 years ago@hayhor I have a video of AA not working in firing range, and a very short clip where aim assist wasn't working in a game. I stopped playing because it was irritating, otherwise I'd have more videos of it. Not sure where to post them though.
- hayhor3 years agoHero@ExTiNkT91 Probably ok to do them here or in bug reports. @EA_David could probably advise. The firing range issue is known.

Am I the only one who had the complete opposite experience? My first game of S17 I dropped a 13 bomb in pubs and AA has never felt better.

@DankTolietHave you used the new firing range?
Personally I haven't noticed anything and have had some decent beams and games. Maybe you track better than some or were less reliant on AA? Based on what's been said in testing, if you can keep your reticle on the player you won't lose AA. It could be your enemies are more reliant on it.- 3 years ago
To me,this has started from season 16.tracking feels poor and aim assist sometimes is there and most of the time non existent. The settings were always the same.season 15 beaming and from season 16 it took then downhill, but this season i feel it even worse.tried to change settings but no luck

Jokes aside, this is an interesting development.
@hayhor from what I’m aware, there is a AA ring around enemies supposedly, and doesn’t actually cover the player. I believe there is a pocket without AA, like a pineapple ring around the enemy. (from my own testing)
