ALGS postponed because of the crashes

It's pretty embarrassing to see that this happened imo, postponing the most important official tournament because the game is not in a decent state.

GG Respawn, you've done it again. 🙂

@Cro_Pittt Yep I saw that. I knew it was coming when even on console I struggled with connection yesterday.

Its middle of winter combined with korona quarantines! Things may happen to crash...

@Cro_Pittt Didn’t this also happen in the past? Either during or right before a tourney it was cancelled due to bad server performance xD

@Koochi-Q I've seen them restart matches.

Also I played this morning and in game seemed fine but the lobby was a mess. 3 times it crashed me out of the lobby and when I went back in it had my team in a game.

@Cro_Pittt The one thing I will give EA/Respawn is that servers in general have been under attack. The servers that host my businesses point of sale software were attacked and went down for nearly 24 hours.

I do believe even googles servers went down recently. I know over the last 3-4 months, numerous businesses have been brought to a stand still because the servers they use crashed.

@DarthValtrex Yea, no servers are foolproof and with the corona-ppl sitting at home, a lot more load.

But Hal is right tho xD.

@DoYaSeeMe Hit tweet was wrong from all angles. Basically, comp players who do it part-time weren't notified ahead but one day before. They got work to do, family, etc. so they were complaining about this. Why didn't the devs postpone it one week before when crashes were first reported? They were asking for postponement then too. It isn't bitching, it's called asking the right thing. But hey, HaL TwEeTeD ThIs So C🤭l

@Koochi-QThe frequency with what I'm seeing businesses servers go down is just alarming... I think this is an issue that's bigger than any company and it's going to take the international community coming together and doing something about it. But that's a political subject and we should not go there.

@BaldWraithSimp That's a legitimate complaint. But perhaps they thought they would have the crashing issues fixed by then?! Thus they did not think they would require postponing it.
