That's absurd.
GG.
What was that game like for you?? I'm not discrediting by any means, a lot of the initial enemies seemed a bit weak / easy. More challenge at the end;
Did any of it feel particularly easy/difficult compared to normal games??
I've had games where I'm absolutely tearing everyone i come across, but never seems to be enough people to get 20 kills. I think most I've had is 11 or 13, and that's when teammates have only 1-3 kills themselves.
Hope you sent flowers to that mirage for that clutch revive 😛
Congrats again.
- 6 years ago@1ronKeys you can see some of the player stats from the overlay. One guy was above 530 level, there were others around 200, some below 100 and I even ran into one complete beginner who was at 7, lol. Overall, it wasn't a very tough lobby, because if it had been infested with diamond players then they would've just killed everyone before I even found them. So yeah, you need a bit of luck on your side to get a lobby where there are fewer people doing a crazy kill race 🙂 ...the lobbies do seem a bit softer now that the new season started, though.
However, the beginning part is also about strategic thinking. You'll want to get around 8 kill start for a decent chance of hitting a 20, so that means that you need to land with 3 or 4 squads in a small area where everyone is squeezed together, so the fight goes fast and there's not a lot of running around. On King's Canyon the Labs used to be perfect for this, but this season it doesn't seem to be such a popular location anymore (I just got lucky in this particular match) and on World's Edge the Mirage Voyage would be such a small and popular area.
Then you also need to play it smart to beat the multiple squads and get that easy start. While they take the portal and have a big fight in the portal room, I normally casually stroll in from the front door, pick up an armor and a gun and then shoot unarmed people running from the portal room and then wipe the remaining weakened enemies that have been doing a lot of damage to each other. On Mirage Voyage I like to take the roof above the hot tub room and shoot people fighting below (I have the high ground advantage and they're focused on the people around them on the low ground). And once you've had a great start, you just need to take the redeploy balloon and find some other fights to 3rd party for more easy kills on low health distracted enemies. That's how you can get through each fight fast enough that you can move on to hunting additional teams. Every second counts 🙂
Yeah, that mirage with his new buff and a gold bag was a real hero and he saved the game, but I also only got so crazy aggressive in the end because he had already snatched a few kills away right from under my nose and I thought that he was about to do the same with the final enemies before I could reach my 20 🙂 ...it all worked out best in the end though (he actually revived me right in front of the enemy, lol).- 6 years ago@Romet6 Haha yeah the revive amused me, the enemy knew where you were but then second guessed himself or got spooked.
Yeah I mean from watching how you played I was quite pleased as certain decisions, including the drop outside of portal are similar to how I play. I think i just get misfortune 😛
I've even missed out on the triple3 badge endless times, more than enough kills maybe just one kill get snatched or a squad is short one player. Etc. Bugs me. Seems within grasp but just situational.- 6 years ago@1ronKeys Lolz I had the same with the revive. He started shooting and suddenly he left... I was like ‘okay did he just missed his shots and thought he hid but figured it’s a clone and just left or did he get shot and ran away?’
@Romet6 must’ve been yt in this case cause I’ve watched other high POVs and always had a clear sight. This was just like it wasn’t processed or still in the middle of buffering :P
But yea, gimme some teammates like you or even your teammates... far better than what I get on a matchly basis... xD

@1ronKeys he probably had two friends make smurfs and joined a bot lobby, it’s an easy exploit, notice how the video starts after banners and character selection

Wish i had the motivation to cheese the badge like that.

@1ronKeys and when he says there’s a level xx and xxx in there, you can be a level 500 but be the worst player in the world and In the same game with a level 1.

@boy_HoodleDude, I don't know why you have to be so sour. Of course this is a soft lobby, I said it myself. I am not Aceu, just an above average player. How do you expect to get 20 when 40 enemies die or quit in round 1, while you're still stuck having a prolonged 1v3 fight against some diamond/master sweatballs? The badge doesn't count unless it's against sweaty players? I can't jump over my own shadow - I can't keep rapidly running over multiple squads of people that are above my skill level. Actual pro players can pull off a 20 in sweaty lobbies every now and then, but I am not even close to that skill level nor do I pretend to be. It's still a big deal for me that I got the badge at all, even though a lot of luck was involved.
And no, I didn't get friends to play with me, I've never played in a premade squad (unless you count the couple of times where I continued to play with a squad from a previous game back when that feature was first introduced). If I was with friends then I would've used discord with them, instead of the text chat, the fights would've been better coordinated and I would've had them feed me kills, instead of snatching kills right from under my nose.
I never show the character selection part, because I don't expect people to want to see that, just as I don't think they need to see me running around looking for a fight, which is when I do put my gun away and occasionally slide jump to get to enemies faster. Once there are people around me, I mostly have the gun out to be ready to shoot faster (Havoc is not an R-99, you don't want to slowly pull it out when an enemy jumps in your face and empties a full clip into you) and it can often also be the case that jumping wouldn't help me continue breaking the line of sight, which is why I didn't jump during the big retreating slide in the end (I was better off keeping my head down, while gaining a speed boost from sliding down that rock).
As for the levels, I am not saying that 200+ players are pros or anything, but they obviously have played the game before. My point is that it's not like I was playing in an absolute beginner lobby with average level of 25. If that's not enough for you and you want to see me get a 20 in diamond ranked or perhaps a world tournament then yeah, I'll never have the skills to do that, especially with random teammates. If you will then that's great, hopefully you'll share that content, because I love watching great players like Ace, Shiv and TSM guys pull off some crazy stuff like that.
