Hey, don't have a pile on without me.
Sure, I get that the matchmaking is horrific. I know it. I experience it every day like everyone else. I know why it is the way it is, and yes, a lot of it is on the developer. Most of it. I guess it's because I've hardly ever played a game that was any better that I'm easier on the dev than I should be.
The things that really stick in my craw, though, are the design decisions. More motion, more speed. As if the only people left playing this game are twelve year children on PC high on caffeine and who knows what else. And they just need everything to be faster. And why wouldn't they? If you have an aimbot then it really doesn't matter how fast other players get. You can still hit them. And if the dev gives you even more speed than you already had then the odds of being hit by an opponent who isn't cheating... drops to almost nothing.
Then let's add in pick ups for wall running and speed boost. In an LTM now, sure, but just you wait. Just you wait.
Unlimited respawns. So "good" players don't get tossed from the game because some hack got lucky, and the lucky guy can also just keep spawning back into the game - because the "good" players need to be allowed to kill the same hack three or four or five times in one match. And the hack who is fool enough to tolerate that? Hey, if he doesn't have the gumption to quit the match then he deserves whatever he gets. I guess. I know, I know: LTM only. Like we haven't been set up for this long enough now to know that it's about to get implemented across the board. Pretty sure I'm the last player left in the entire game who doesn't want this.
Bracketed ranked matches. Please, Respawn, please. I need my risk spoon fed to me in manageable doses so I don't barf it all up on my Mom's shoulder while she's trying to burp me.
I could go on all night.
One thing puzzles me though. We do you even bother to look at your k/d or win rate anymore? If you're not actively cheating, like seemingly everyone else, then I don't really think you need to beat yourself up over stats anymore.
